MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Six teams remain in District 9 and District 10 football as we hit the PIAA quarterfinal round, and on Sunday they learned the sites and times where they will play.
Four of the five games will be played on Friday, with the Class 2A quarterfinal game between D10 champ Farrell and D8 champ Westinghouse to be played on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Cupples Stadium in Pittsburgh.
It’s a D9 vs. D10 matchup in the Class 1A quarterfinals, as Port Allegany will battle Reynolds on Friday at 7 p.m. at Bradford’s Parkway Field.
In Class 3A, District 10 champion Grove City will host District 6 champion Central-Martinsburg on Friday at 7 p.m.
Also on Friday in Class 4A, Meadville will be back at Bald Eagle High School for the second week in a row when they take on Allentown Central Catholic, the District 11 champion, at 7.
Also at 7 on Friday, Cathedral Prep, which has been idle for three weeks, will be at WPIAL champion Pine-Richland in Class 5A.
