MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – A total of seven District 9 and District 10 players, led by three from Farrell, earned Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 2A All-State honors.

The three players selected from Farrell were offensive lineman Anthony Jackson, offensive athlete Kylon Wilson and defensive end Malachi Owens, the latter of whom was also named D9and10Sports.com’s District 10 Defensive Lineman of the Year for the Steelers, who captured their second straight District 10 title. Wilson was a repeat selection.

A pair of Sharpsville players, Garen Levis (receiver) and Caullin Summers (offensive athlete) were also selected. Summers, the Blue Devils quarterback and Levis formed one of District 10’s top duos in 2022. The Blue Devils went 9-3 and advanced to the D10 title game, with two of those losses coming to Farrell.

Also named on the defensive side of the ball were Brookville’s Noah Peterson (defensive back) and Seneca’s Ryan Miller (linebacker).

Peterson’s nine interceptions ranked third in the state for teams that enter their stats on MaxPreps. The Raiders rallied from a 1-4 start to the season to reach the D9 title game.

Miller, meanwhile, amassed over 100 tackles for a Seneca team that won its first-ever playoff game and advanced to the D10 semifinals.

Braeden Wisloski of PIAA champion Southern Columbia was named Player of the Year and Donta Green of PIAA runner-up Westinghouse was named the Coach of the Year.
