Sept. 29, 2021 Soccer: Prep, Slippery Rock Boys Earn Wins; Hickory Triumphs in OT

   

BRADFORD, Pa. – Nine different Cathedral Prep players scored goals in a 10-1 win over Bradford.

Chris Morphy discord a pair for the Ramblers, while Reece Johnson, Michael Mucha, Vincent Padalino, Hayden Hutchinson, Dylan Danch, Luke Trocki, Gabe Rosenberg and Noah Handzel added one each.

WEST SHAMOKIN 3, BROOKVILLE 2

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Brookville fell behind 3-0 and their rally came up just short in a 3-2 setback to West Shamokin.

Brad Fiscus scored on an assist from Logan Oakes and Garner McMaster also scored in the second half for the Raiders.

            

David Moore had two goals and Ryan Buckley the other for West Shamokin.

SLIPPERY ROCK 6, SHARON 0

SHARON, Pa. – Austin Hess scored a pair of goals as Slippery Rock blanked Sharon.

Hunter Berry, Nick Kingerski, Gavin Siegfried and Ayden Villotti also scored for Slippery Rock.

HICKORY 3, CONNEAUT 2, OT

                          

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Michael Orendi scored off a feed from Gio Rossi in overtime to give Hickory a 3-2 win over Conneaut.

Lukas Jones had both of Hickory’s goals in regulation.

ERIE 5, MEADVILLE 0

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Amar Al Bakhi scored two goals to help Erie past Meadville.

Mitchell Hamm, Ahmed Saadoon and Espoir Mayele also scored for Erie.

Evan Nadzam got the shutout in net.

WARREN 2, EISENHOWER 0

RUSSELL, Pa. – Parks Oridway scored twice to give Warren a 2-0 win over Eisenhower.

FORT LEBOEUF 12, CORRY 0

WATERFORD, Pa. – Nathan Feltmeyer, Sam Kightlinger, Elliott Reuling and Bryce Powers all scored two goals each as Fort LeBoeuf rolled past Corry.

                        

Mason Verdecchia, Logan Belknap, Aidan Stroup and Chris Van Doren all added one goal each for the Bison.

GROVE CITY 6, GREENVILLE 1

GREENVILLE, Pa. – John Hake notched a hat trick as Grove City raced past Greenville.

Jacob Irani had two goals for the Eagles and Jimmy Irani added the other.

MCDOWELL 4, GENERAL MCLANE 0

         

ERIE, Pa. – Robbie Umpleby scored a pair of goals as McDowell blanked General McLane.

Nico Catalde and Braeden Martin had the other goals for the Trojans.
