Sept. 19, 2020 District 10 Football Recaps: Northwestern, Fort LeBoeuf roll

   
   

SAEGERTOWN, Pa. – Northwestern was dominant from start to finish in a 51-0 win over Saergertown to improve to 2-0.

After an OT win over Maplewood in Week 1, there was no such drama this time around for the Wildcats.

Austin Swift had a pair of rushing touchdowns in the first half and led the Wildcats with 112 yards on the ground.

Ben Campbell, Ryan Tewell, Kasey Wade, Jordan Dohanic and Isaac Hawley all scored on the ground for Northwestern. Tewell also threw for 77 yards.

            

FORT LEBOEUF 41, MERCYHURST PREP 7

ERIE, Pa. – Jack Rimpa rushed for 155 yards and four scores as Fort LeBoeuf rolled to a 41-7 win at Mercyhurst Prep.

Tristin Harris also had a pair of scores and 140 yards on the ground as the Bison improved to 2-0.

WEST MIDDLESEX 10, KENNEDY CATHOILC 0

SHARON, Pa. – A safety by West Middlesex in the third quarter broke a scoreless tie and led the Big Reds to a 10-0 shutout of Kennedy Catholic.

                          

After an Ian Smith tackle in the end zone, Colby Johnson scored on an 11-yard run on the ensuing possession that, coupled with the 2-point conversion, made it 10-0.

Smith led the Big Reds (1-1) on the ground with 107 yards. Sky’ler Thomas had a 19-yard reception for Kennedy Catholic.

UNION CITY 38, SENECA 22

UNION CITY, Pa. Union City raced out to a 30-0 lead and cruised to a 38-22 victory over Seneca in Region 5 action.

The Bears put three rushers over 100 yards, led by Caleb Stull, who carried for 137 yards and a pair of scores. David Roscinski (116 yards, TD) and Kyler Shaffer (100 yards, 2 TDs) also led the Bears.

Ryan Miller had 137 yards and a touchdown on the ground for Seneca, while Colin Libra threw for 150 yards and a TD.
