The Saegertown at Maplewood Region 2 football game scheduled for Friday, Sept. 10 has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.
Maplewood principal Kenneth Wolfarth issued a release Tuesday evening confirming that ‘all players and staff who attended the game on Friday, Sept. 3 and/or practice Monday, Sept. 6 were identified as a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case.
This marks the second consecutive week that COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on Saegertown’s schedule, as their scheduled game last week was also canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.
