District champions Reynolds and Redbank Valley were rewarded with a total of four players on the Pa. Football Writers’ Class 1A All-State team, released on Tuesday.

Reynolds running back Cole Toy, along with offensive linemen Rocco John-Daniello and Luke Faber, as well as Redbank Valley defensive lineman Joe Mansfield all received the honors.

John-Daniello and Faber helped pave the way for Toy (1,253 yards, 23 touchdowns) and the Raiders to advance to the PIAA semifinals, while Mansfield, the D9and10Sports.com Jim Kelly District 9 Defensive Linemen of the Year, was part of a vaunted Bulldog defense that yielded just 66 points in eight games.

The two teams met in the PIAA quarterfinals, a hard-fought 19-14 win for the Raiders.

Mekhi Flowers of state champion Steelton-Highspire was named Player of the Year, while his coach, Andrew Erby nabbed Coach of the Year honors.
