
EDINBORO, Pa. – The fifth-ranked Slippery Rock University football team improved to 10-0 and closed out a perfect Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division schedule with a 56-18 win on the road at Edinboro Saturday in the final week of divisional play.
The Rock improve to 10-0 overall and 7-0 in PSAC West action, reaching 10-0 for the second time in the last four seasons and just the second time in program history. Slippery Rock will represent the Western Division in the PSAC Championship next Saturday at Kutztown after the Golden Bears also went 7-0 in the Eastern Division. Edinboro slips to 2-8 overall and 1-6 in PSAC West games with the loss.
IUP 39, CLARION 27
CLARION, Pa. – The IUP football program racked up 565 yards of offense as QB Karst Hunter returned to lead the charge in a 39-27 road win at Clarion on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
IUP (5-5, 3-4) snapped a two-game slide, pulling away in the second half and putting itself in position for a winning season next week at Bloomsburg. The Hawks have now won 12 consecutive meetings with Clarion (2-8, 1-6), dating back to the 2010 season.

ERIE, Pa. – The Vulcans rushed for 250 yards for a consecutive week and scored three rushing touchdowns while posting a 34-17 victory at Gannon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Saturday afternoon.
SETON HILL 14, MERCYHURST 0
ERIE, Pa. – Seton Hill traveled to Erie for a PSAC West matchup with Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins defeated the Lakers 14-0 to improve to 5-5 overall and close out PSAC West play at 4-3. The 4-3 record marks the first winning season in PSAC West play in school history.
