MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Fresh off a 42-8 quarterfinal win over Reynolds, Port Allegany now knows its assignment for the PIAA semifinals.
The Gators will take on WPIAL champion Union at 7 p.m. on Friday at Clarion’s Memorial Stadium. Union beat Bishop Canevin 26-0 in the WPIAL championship game.
The winner will play Steelton-Highspire/Canton winner (Friday, 7 p.m., Shamokin High School) in the PIAA title game on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. at Cumberland Valley High School.
This is the Gators’ second apperance in the PIAA semifinals, with the first coming in 2012.
