WARREN, Pa. – Oil City’s Cam Russell is the Week Two D9and10Sports.com Jim Kelly District 9 Football Player of the Week Powered by the Allegheny Grille. ‘

Russell had a monster game for the Oilers in a 38-14 win over Meadville in a re-match of last season’s District 10 Class 5A title game. He carried the ball 26 times for 243 yards, an average of 9.3 yards per carry, and scored three touchdowns. He also recorded 8 tackles, including a tackle for loss on defense as the Oilers shut down a potent Meadville rushing attack.

Jim Kelly is the Hall of Fame quarterback of the Buffalo Bills who grew up in East Brady, Pa. and went to Miami (Fla). Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 after passing for over 45,000 yards as a pro, including two seasons in the USFL, with 320 career touchdown passes. He led the Bills to four straight AFC Titles.
