BROCKWAY, Pa. – Caleb Kornbau’s goal with three minutes remaining in the second overtime period lifted Brookville to a 2-1 win over Brockway in the Class 1A first round, securing the Raiders’ first playoff win since 2013.
Kornbau scored on a header from Brad Fiscus corner kick.
Steve Plyler had the other goal for Brookville.
With the win, the Raiders advance to play top-seeded Clarion-Limestone on Tuesday.
GENERAL MCLANE 4, HICKORY 1
MEADVILLE, Pa. – Gio Masone scored a pair of goals as General McLane scored all four of its goals in the first half in a 4-1 Class 2A first round win over Hickory.
Cooper Robson and Carter Sindlinger also scored for General McLane.
Robson also had two assists, while Coletin Barto and Lucas Crow each had an assist.
With the win, GM advances to play No. 2 seed Mercyhurst Prep.
GROVE CITY 3, FRANKLIN 2
TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Pierson Badkowski scored a pair of goals as Grove City edged Franklin, 3-2.
Jimmy Irani also found the back of the net for Grove City.
With the win, Grove City advances to play top-seed Fairview in the quarterfinals.
KARNS CITY 8, RIDGWAY 0
KARNS CITY, Pa. – McKenna Martin had three goals and two assists as Karns City earned an 8-0 win over Ridgway in the D9 Class 1A quarterfinals.
Emma Dailey had two goals, while Lyrik Reed, Cece Morrow and Addy Christie had one goal each.
Sarah Dodd and Hanna Dailey had two assists each, while Reed and Morrow each had one.
“It was a good team win,” said Karns City coach Tracy Dailey. “We kept working hard all over the field to create opportunities and we were able to finish them.”
With the win, Karns City advances to play No. 3 seed Forest Area.
FOREST AREA 2, KANE 0
TIONESTA, Pa. – Amber Guzzi scored a goal in each half as Forest earned a 2-0 win over Kane in the Class.
Guzzi scored 19 minutes into the first half and one minute into the second half.
Emalie Best had both assists.
Emma McFarland had 13 stops in net.
SLIPPERY ROCK 4, NORTH EAST 0
MEADVILLE, Pa. – Hannah Plunkard had a goal and an assist as Slippery Rock blanked North East 4-0 in the first round of the D10 Class 2A playoffs.
Emma Hays scored off a feed from Plunkard in the first half, which was the only goal of the half.
Plunkard, Brooke Arblaster, and Olivia Rock all scored in the second half for Slippery Rock.
With the win, Slippery Rock advances.

HYDE, Pa. – Elle Smith scored three goals and Riley Ryen two as Clearfield closed out the regular season with a 5-1 win over Hollidaysburg.
Smith, Grace Natoli, and Mia Smith each had an assist.
Cayleigh Walker had four stops in net.
