Oct. 12, 2021 Soccer: Clearfield Girls Continue Unbeaten Run; Karns City Boys Capture 18th Straight UAVSL South Title

TYRONE, Pa. – Emma Hipps, Elle Smith and Riley Ryen scored two goals each as Clearfield improved to 15-0-0 with a 6-1 win over Tyrone.

The Lady Bison led 3-0 at halftime.

All three also notched assists, as did Alayna Winters. Allison Shipley had one stop in net for Clearfield.

BROOKVILLE 1, REDBANK VALLEY 0

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Jazmines Sarvey-Vasquez scored the lone goal of the game in the first half as Brookville beat Redbank Valley.

Jordan Cook made four stops in net for the Raiders.

WARREN 3, ERIE 0

ERIE, Pa. – Audrey Smith, Lennon Dailey and Ella Ordiway all scored to lead Warren to a 3-0 win over Erie.

The Lady Dragons led 1-0 at halftime.

Georgie Bickling notched a pair of assists and Dailey the other.

HICKORY 2, CONNEAUT 0

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Cecelia Perman scored two goals as Hickory beat Conneaut.

Anna Rodenbaugh added an assist for the Hornets, while Alexxa Miller had the clean sheet in net.

CONNEAUT (OHIO) 4, GIRARD 2

CONNEAUT, OHIO – Claire Eaton scored a pair of goals as Conneaut (Ohio) earned a 4-2 win over Girard.

Lauren McVoy had a goal and an assist for the Spartans.

FORT LEBOEUF 13, TITUSVILLE 0

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Ashley Froess scored four goals to help Fort LeBoeuf to a 13-0 win over Titusville.

Maggie Morrison had three goals for the Bison, while Delani Miller and Emily Samluk notched two each.

Abby Kightlinger and Lydia Kowalczyk had one marker each.

Elise Cachione notched four assists, as did Samluk, while Bri Winkelman had two and Jocelyn Hoover, Mackenzie Huston and Kowalczyk one each.

Lauren Green had the shutout in net.

KENNEDY CATHOLIC 6, WEST MIDDLESEX 1

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Bellah DiNardo scored four goals as Kennedy Catholic beat West Middlesex.

VILLA MARIA 5, FAIRVIEW 2

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Ella Raimondi scored four goals as Villa Maria powered past Fairview.

Callie Cacchione had the other goal for the Victors.

MCDOWELL 9, OIL CITY 0

ERIE, Pa. – Nine different McDowell players scored a goal in a 9-0 win over Oil City.

Abby Faulhaber, Clare Asmus, Sara Tomko, Phoebe Louis, Anna Rosswog, Sabrina Cole, Carmel Frenn, Hannah Shepard and Caylen Spano all scored for the Lady Trojans in the win.

MERCER 13, SHARPSVILLE 0

MERCER, Pa. – Julia Balaski scored six goals and had a pair of assists as Mercer rolled past Sharpsville.

Ryan Dubiel and Ally Rynd each had two goals for the Mustangs, while Devyn Bailey, Mackenzie Hughes and Morgan Miller had one goal each.

Bailey also had four assists.

BOYS

KARNS CITY 15, KEYSTONE 2

KNOX, Pa. – Eleven different Karns City players scored in a 15-2 win over Keystone that secured the 18th consecutive UAVSL South Division title for the Gremlins.

Myles McCully, Colson Ritzert and Reid Campbell scored two goals apiece for the Gremlins. Alex Williams and Cole Sherwin also found the back of the net for KC.

Seth Apel and Brett English scored for Keystone.

BROCKWAY 6, DUBOIS 0

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Marcus Bennett and Dylan Bash scored two goals each as Brockway blanked DuBois.

Eric Young and Jared Marchiori had the other Brockway goals.

Bennett had two assists, while Young, Marchiori, Alex Carlson and Antonuccio had one helper each.

ST. MARYS 5, BROOKVILLE 4

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – St. Marys’ Matt Palmer scored all five goals for his club as the Dutch outlasted Brookville, 5-4.

Garner McMaster scored a pair of goals for the Raiders, while Christian Smith and Steven Plyler had one each. Logan Oakes had a pair of assists for the Raiders, who led 3-2 at halftime.

REDBANK VALLEY 3, WEST SHAMOKIN 1

RURAL VALLEY, Pa. – Owen Clouse scored two goals as Redbank Valley beat West Shamokin, 3-1.

Owen Harmon added the other goal for the Bulldogs. Ty Carrier, Harmon and Kieran Fricko had assists.
