Oct. 12, 2020 Soccer Recaps: Karns City Girls, Boys Both Victorious

   

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Emma Dailey recorded a hat trick as Karns City blanked Redbank Valley 7-0 on Monday.

Avah Burke, Dannika Love, McKenna Martin and Paige Dodd also found the back of the net for the Gremlins.

Martin had two assists and Burke and Love one each.

WARREN 17, OIL CITY 0

OIL CITY, Pa. –  Kyleigh Wilson led the way Monday with six goals as Warren blanked Oil City.

            

Paige Johnson, Kyra Wotorson and Marielle Stranz had two each. Georgie Bickling, Ella Ordiway, Lilly Brooker, Audrey Smith and Sydney Rex all found the back of the net as well.

Bickling tallied five assists, Ordiway had four and Wotorson three. Johnson added a pair and Brooker and Eliza Brook had one apiece.

Alyssa Andersen had the shutout in net, her eighth of the season.

MECYHURST PREP 1, HARBOR CREEK 0

ERIE, Pa. – Marisa Schnars had the lone goal of the contest to lift Mercyhurst Prep past Harbor Creek.

                          

Ashley VanDamia notched the shutout.

ERIE 1, NORTH EAST 0

ERIE, Pa. – Eden Palkovic scored the lone goal of the game in the second half as Erie topped North East.

Ashlyn Heynoski earned the shutout.

TITUSVILLE 1, MAPLEWOOD 0

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – McKenzie Means’ first half goal was the lone tally in Titusville’s win over Maplewood.

Maya Marshall had the assist.

FORT LEBOEUF 3, SENECA 0

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Ashley Froess, Maggie Morrison and Lydia Kowalczyk all scored to send Fort LeBoeuf past Seneca.

Lauren Green got the shutout in net.

                        

BRADFORD 9, ST. MARYS 2

ST. MARYS, Pa. – St. Marys’ struck first, but Bradford responded in a big way.

The Lady Owls scored nine unanswered goals en route to a 9-2 win.

Kelsea Austin led the way with four goals and Maddi Cowburn had three. Dawn Flynn and Mackenzie Lucas also scored for Bradford.

Cowburn, Marissa Miller and Chloe Shaw each recorded two assists and Austin had one.

         

Lea Kakolewski had 11 stops for Bradford and Oliva Eckles 15 for St. Marys.

GENERAL MCLANE 4, FAIRVIEW 0

EDINBORO, Pa. – Brooklyn Respecki, Abby Walker, Payton Massey and Sydney Rotko all scored as General McLane blanked Fairview.

Darian Zacherl had the shutout in goal.

KANE 6, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 0

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Josh Greville notched a hat trick as Kane blanked Elk County Catholic.

Justin Mishic, Jon Mishic and Aiden Zampgna also scored for the Wolves.

Caleb Waite had four saves to earn the shutout in net.

BROCKWAY 5, DUBOIS 0

DUBOIS, Pa. – Five different Brockway players scored goals as they earned a shutout win over DuBois.

Jared Marchiori, Marcus Bennett, Dylan Antonuccio, Dom Inzana and Johnny Knox all scored, while Garrett Park had two assists and Marchiori, Noah Bash and Inzana had one apiece.

Lewis Painter earned the shutout.

PORT ALLEGANY 5, NORTHERN POTTER 2

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Scott Fuller had a pair of goals as Port Allegany topped Northern Potter.

River Cramer, Hunter Whitney and Kaleb Green also scored for the Gators.

Ryan Langworthy and Micah Kightlinger found the back of the net for NoPo.

Ty Guilds had nine stops for Port Allegany and Pat Lehman 13 for the Panthers.

HARBOR CREEK 1, IROQUOIS 0

LAWRENCE PARK, Pa. – Brandon Konieczki scored the lone goal of the game as Harbor Creek edged Iroquois.

Trevor Baker had the shutout in net.

KARNS CITY 9, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Eight different players scored for Karns City in their 9-0 victory over DCC.

Myles McCully had two goals and Owen Colwell, Adam Smith, Jacob Callihan, Mallick Metcalfe, Colson Ritzert, Luke Anderson and Dane King had one apiece.

Colwell also dished out four assists for the 10-0-1 Gremlins.
