Haydin McLaughlin and Brayden McCloskey also had big games. McCloskey threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to McLaughlin to open the scoring, and McCloskey added two more touchdown passes to PJ Winkle and Kevin Malgieri, and also scored on a 6-yard touchdown run in the second half.

McLaughlin also had an interception return for a touchdown.

Kennedy Catholic (1-5) scored its lone touchdown in the first half on a Damian Harrison 59-yard touchdown pass to Jermaine Dunlap.

GROVE CITY 33, GREENVILLE 27

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Grove City built a 33-14 lead after three quarters and held off a Greenville rally for a 33-27 Region 3 win.

The Eagles (4-2) led 33-14 after Hunter Hohman’s 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, but the Trojans (0-6) responded.

Malachi Hyde scored on a 2-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, which was followed shortly after by a Mason Dickens’ 9-yard scoring run before Grove City was able to put the clamps on to preserve the win.

Greenville actually took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on Bennett Hayne’s interception return for a touchdown, but it was short-lived as Nathan Greer returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown.

Hunter Hohman threw a pair of second-quarter touchdown passes to Gavin Lutz as the Eagles built a 19-7 lead, but Dickens’ 1-yard touchdown run made it 19-14 at halftime.

Hohman and Lutz hooked up for the third time in the third quarter, a 26-yard scoring strike and Hohman’s touchdown run later in the quarter gave the Eagles their three-score lead.

Hohman finished with 110 yards passing and 28 yards rushing, while Lutz had 95 yards receiving and Anthony Nemec 139 yards on the ground.

Hyde had 95 yards on the ground for Greenville.
