McLane Boys Outlast Mercyhurst Prep; St. Marys, Slippery Rock, Warren, Brookville Notch Wins (Sept. 21 Soccer Recaps)

   

ERIE, Pa. – Gio Masone scored a pair of goals as General McLane beat Mercyhurst Prep, 3-2 in double overtime.

Carter Sindlinger and Aidan Price had assists for the Lancers.

SLIPPERY ROCK 5, GREENVILLE 1

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Jesse Gahring and Zach Lasko had two goals each as Slippery Rock beat Greenville, 5-1.

Max Kovacik had the other goal for Slippery Rock.

               

Collin Wimer, Ryan Strother and Nick Olshanski had assists for the Rockets.

Easton McCowien had Greenville’s goal.

ST. MARYS 2, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 0

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Liam Brem had a goal and an assist as St. Marys earned a hard-fought 2-0 win over Elk County Catholic.

The score was 1-0 at halftime, with Dawson Krug scoring the second half goal.

   

Carter Dush had the shutout in net with 10 saves.

WARREN 7, TITUSVILLE 0

WARREN, Pa. – Finn Ordiway and Luc Wilkins had two goals each as Warren blanked Titusville, 7-0.

Jack Chapman, Trey Carrington and Gavin Rex had the other goals for the Dragons.

BROOKVILLE 8, FOREST AREA 2

TIONESTA, Pa. – Steven Plyler scored six goals as Brookville beat Forest Area, 8-2.

Luke McKinley also had a goal for the Raiders.

McKinley, Maddox Harmon, Caleb Burkett, Issac Reitz and Declan Reitz had assists for the Raiders.

WILLIAMSON 2, COUDERSPORT 1

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Reilly Streich scored for Coudersport, but it was unbeaten Wiliamson that came away with a 2-1 win.

                           

Braidyn Rumsey and Micah Baston had assists for the Falcons, while LJ Titus III had 17 stops in net as a first-time goalie for Coudy.

KARNS CITY 8, REDBANK VALLEY 1

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Hanna Dailey had three goals and Sarah Dodd two as Karns City beat Redbank Valley, 8-1.

DUBOIS 10, KANE 0

           

DUBOIS, Pa. – Emily Graeca had six goals as DuBois blanked Kane, 10-0.

Katelyn Rhoades, Claire Trethewey, Lexi Nissel and Katie McGahey had one goal each.

BROCKWAY 5, PORT ALLEGANY 0

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Mia Martino, Eva Bisbey, Raegan Gelnette, Zoe Puhala and Ana Hughes all scored as Brockway blanked Port Allegany, 5-0.

Rhe Spinda and Puhala had assists.

Josie Orinko had the shutout in net.

TIONESTA, Pa. – Ally Wilson had two goals and an assist as Brookville beat Forest Area, 4-0.

Lauren Castellan and Hannah Lundgren had the other goals for Brookville.

Bentley Hughey had the clean sheet in net.
