MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – McDowell’s Artis Simmons and Cooper Cousins were honored with Pa. Football Writers All-State selections in Class 6A.
The Trojans went 10-3, winning the D10 title in Class 6A before dropping an epic triple-overtime battle to State College in the PIAA playoffs.
Simmons rushed for over 2,000 yards on the season, earning the honor at running back.
Cousins, a Penn State offensive line commit, paved the way for him. Just a junior Cousins has established himself as among the nation’s best at his position.
Samaj Jones of St. Joesph’s Prep was named Player of the Year, and Harrisburg’s Calvin Everett Coach of the Year.
