HERSHEY, Pa. – McDowell captured the Co-Ed Varsity competitive cheer state title with a score of 89.47 points on Saturday at Hershey’s Giant Center.
The Trojans outdistanced second-place Butler, which came in at 81.92.
The title is the third in the last five years for McDowell.
East Stroudsburg was third at 78.95. Clarion-Limestone finished eighth with a score of 52.30.
In the Class 2A large varsity division, Elk County Catholic finished third with a score of 74.83, while Karns City was fifth at 67.10. Warren followed right behind Karns City at 67.07.
Bishop McCort won the title with a score of 84.02, edging second-place Archbishop Wood (83.48).
