DUBOIS 8, BROOKVILLE 4

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Kaden Clark went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, three runs scored, and four RBIs, as visiting DuBois doubled up Brookville, 8-4.

Tyler Chamberlin and Gavin Kaschalk each added three hits for the Beavers with Chamberlin going 3-for-4 with an RBI and Kaschalk 3-for-3 with an RBI.

Also for DuBois, Aaron Andrulonis went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI and Alex Pasternak went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

   

                  

Griffin Ruhlman went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Brookville.

Chamberlain got the win going four innings allowing three earned runs on five hits, three walks, and a hit batter while striking out four. Nate Tyler got the three-inning save allowing an unearned run on three hits and a walk while striking out three.

Jamison Rhoades took the loss going 2 ⅓ innings allowing six runs, five earned, on five hits, two walks, and three hit batters. Hunter Geer threw 4 ⅔ innings allowing two earned runs on 10 hits while striking out three.

A-C VALLEY/UNION 2, BROCKWAY 1

EMLENTON, Pa. -Trey Fleming’s walk-off sac fly gave A-C Valley/Union a 2-1 win over visiting Brockway in a game that saw the Falcon Knights rally for two in the bottom of the seventh to get the win.

                          

Lane Bauer had tied the game one batter earlier with a single.

That helped A-C Valley/Union not waste a great performance from Bailey Crissman, who despite getting a no-decision, was strong on the mound.

Crissman went 6 ⅓ innings allowing one earned run on three hits, a hit batter, and three walks while striking out five.

Ryan Cooper got the win going ⅔ of an inning striking out two while hitting one after Crissman reached 100 pitches.

               

Zeke Causey went 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Falcon Knights with Cooper going 2-for-4 and Max Lowrey was 2-for-3. Tony Salizzoni added a double.

Ezra Swanson was 2-for-2 with a run scored for Brockway with Matthew Brubaker going 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Dylan Bush went 6 ⅓ innings allowing two earned runs on nine hits while striking out 11. Chad Young pitched ⅔ of an inning scoreless.

OTTO-ELDRED 5, CAMERON COUNTY 3

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Behind a strong pitching performance from Calvin Minich, Otto-Eldred knocked off visiting Cameron County, 5-3.

Minich went six innings allowing two unearned runs on five hits, a walk, and two hit batters while striking out eight. Max Splain went one inning to get the save allowing an unearned run on two hits while striking out two.

Manning Splain was 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI for the Terrors with Braden Maholic going 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Hayden Brown went 1-for-4 with two RBIs for Cameron County with JXX Narby scoring a pair of runs.

Eastyn Solveson took the loss going 5 ⅔ innings allowing five runs, four earned, on six hits and three walks. Jesop Farabaugh went ⅓ of an inning scoreless striking out one.

KARNS CITY 5, REDBANK VALLEY 2

            

FAIRMOUNT CITY, Pa. – A strong mound performance from Michael Neff helped Karns City knock off homestanding Redbank Valley, 5-2.

Neff went 6 ⅔ innings allowing two earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five before reaching 100 pitches at 101. Cole Sherwin got the save retiring the only batter he faced.

Mallick Metcalfe hit a home run while going 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs for the Gremlins, while Braden Grossman was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Sherwin was 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and an RBI.

Owen Clouse went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Redbank Valley with Mason Clouse going 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Bryson Bain took the loss going 4 ⅓ innings allowing five runs, three earned, on six hits and four walks while striking out seven. Ty Carrier went 2 ⅔ innings scoreless allowing a hit while striking out two.

KANE 4, PORT ALLEGANY 1

KANE, Pa. – Andrew Jekielek and Justin Peterson combined on a five-hitter to help Kane to a 4-1 win over visiting Port Allegany.

Jekielek got the win going four innings allowing an earned run on four hits, a walk, and a hit batter while striking out four. Peterson got the save going three innings allowing one hit and a walk while striking out five.

Shane Ackley went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs to lead the Wolves on offense with Peterson picking up a pair of RBIs, and Elijah Everett adding a double.

Blaine Moses was 1-for-1 with a walk and a run scored with Ian Dynda going 3-for-3.

Drew Evens took the loss going three innings in relief allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits while striking out two.

Sawyer Price started and went two innings allowing a run on three hits and a walk while striking out four. Ty Guilds threw one inning of clean relief.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 12, NORTH CLARION 3

FRILLS CORNER, Pa. – Corbin Coulson went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI to help visiting Clarion-Limestone to a 12-3 win over North Clarion.

Coulson, named the Allegheny Grille of Foxburg Player of the Game, talked about the win.

C-L scored four times in the top of the first inning to set the tone for the game and led 9-0 after five innings

Nick Aaron also went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored, Jake Smith was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs, and Logan Lutz was 2-for-5 with a run scored, and two RBIs for the Lions. Michael Snyder also added a pinch-hit RBI double in the win.

Zeelan Hargenrader went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI for North Clarion with Isaac Gilara going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Josh Daum 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored.

Tommy Smith got the win going four innings allowing two hits and a walk while striking out four.

Lutz got the save going three innings allowing three runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk while striking out six.

Aidan Hartle took the loss going five innings allowing nine runs, six earned, on 10 hits and three walks while striking out nine. Tristan Sliker pitched two innings allowing three earned runs on five hits while striking out two.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 16, SMETHPORT 2, 5 INNINGS

SMETHPORT, Pa. – A 10-run fifth inning lifted visiting DuBois Central Catholic to a 16-2, five-inning win over Smethport.

The freshmen duo of Aiden Snowberger and Brayden Fox combined to go 4-for-8 with four runs scored and six RBIs to lead the Cardinals.

Snowberger was 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two runs scored, and three RBIs, and Fox was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

Ben Gritzer also doubled for DCC while going 1-for-2 with a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs, Blake Pisarchik was 2-for-2 with an RBI and four runs scored, Cole Sansom was 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Nick Colbey was 1-for-1 with two runs scored.

Travis Cooney was 2-for-3 with a double for Smethport with Noah Lent walking twice and driving in two runs.

Carter Hickman got the win going four innings allowing one earned run on two hits and three walks while striking out seven. Brandin Anderson pitched one inning giving up a run on a hit and three walks while striking out three.

Lent took the loss going ⅓ of an inning allowing two earned run on three walks and a hit batter. Alex Ognen pitched 1 ⅔ innings allowing four earned runs on one hit, a walk, and a hit batter while striking out two, Josh Adamoski went 2 ⅔ innings allowing six earned runs on seven hits and a hit batter while striking out two, and Brenton McDowell pitched ⅓ of an inning giving up four unearned runs on three hits and a hit batter.

CRANBERRY 10, KEYSTONE 4

SENECA, Pa. – Ken Lavrich hit a pair of home runs while going 2-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs to help Cranberry to a 10-4 win over visiting Keystone.

Austin Shoup was also 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs for the Berries with Preston Forrest going 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored, and Nolan Rembold going 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs.

Cole Henry was 1-for-2 with a run scored while also being hit by a pitch for Keystone.

Shoup got the win going two innings allowing two unearned runs on two hits while striking out four.

Lavrich went 2 ⅓ innings allowing two earned runs on a hit and five walks while striking out seven in a starting role, and Austin Fento went 2 ⅔ innings allowing a hit while striking out three.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 8, BRADFORD 2

BRADFORD, Pa. – Jake Sikora was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs to help Punxsutawney to an 8-2 win at Bradford.

Josh Tyger also had a pair of hits for the Chucks going 2-for-3 with an RBI, Carter Savage was 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs, and Peyton Hetrick was 1-for-3 with two runs scored.

Cam Austin went 3-for-4 with a run scored for Bradford with Ryan Ward going 1-for-3 with two RBIs, Matt Miller 2-for-3, and Jack Wells 2-for-4 with a double.

Tyger got the complete-game win allowing two runs, one earned, on 12 hits and a walk while striking out eight.

Talan Reese took the loss going five innings allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits and a walk while striking out three. Ashton Smith gave up three earned runs on three hits and two walks in two innings of action. He struck out one.

CLARION 14, MONITEAU 4, 5 INNINGS

PAINT TWP., Pa. – A big game from Dawson Smail helped Clarion to a 14-4, five-inning win over visiting Moniteau at the Clarion County Park.

Smail was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, three runs scored, and four RBIs.

The Bobcats also got a pair of RBIs each from Devon Lauer (1-for-4), Chase Kriebel (1-for-3, 2B, 1 run), and Bryce Brinkley (1-for-1, 2 walks, 2 runs), while Daunte Girvan was 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI, and three runs scored.

Brock Matthews went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and an RBI for Moniteau.

Tanner Miller got the win going three innings allowing three unearned runs despite not giving up a hit. He did walk six and hit a batter. Jimmy Kerr went two innings allowing an earned run on three hits and a walk while striking out one.

Branson Carson took the loss going one innings allowing an earned run on one hit and one walk while striking out two.

Carson Ritts gave up five earned runs in an inning of work on two hits and four walks with Dawson Wallace getting charged with two earned runs on one hit and three walks while striking out one in an inning of work. Cooper Boozel pitched 1 ⅔ innings allowing six runs, five earned, on four hits and four walks while striking out one.

COUDERSPORT 10, OSWAYO VALLEY 0, 5 INNINGS

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Garrett Kellert threw a five-inning, two-hit shutout striking out seven, as Coudersport topped visitinig Oswayo Valley, 10-0, in five innings.

Kellert helped his own cause going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Wyatt Daisley was also 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs for the Falcons with Mason Roessner going 1-for-2 with a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Alek Harmon and Caiden Goode had hits for Oswayo Valley.

Ian Bilski took the loss throwing four innings allowing seven runs, six earned, on six hits, five walks, and three hit batters. He struck out four. Gaige Hohenwarter gave up three earned runs on two hits, two walks, and a hit batter in ⅓ of an inning.

CLEARFIELD SWEEPS TWINBILL FROM HUNTINGDON

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Visiting Clearfield swept a doubleheader from Huntingdon taking Game One 8-0 and Game Two 8-4.

Kyle Elensky threw a five-hit shutout in the opener. He walked one and struck out seven.

Blake Prestash, Cole Bloom, and Mike Fester each had a pair of RBIs in the opener for the Bison with Prestash going 1-for-4, Bloom 2-for-4, and Fester 1-for-2 with a walk.

Nolan Barr was also 2-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored for Clearfield, Morgan Billotee was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored, and Ryan Gearhart was 1-for3- with a run scored, and an RBI.

Eric Mykut was 2-for-3 with a double for Huntingdon.

Josh Bryson took the loss going five innings allowing four earned runs on seven hits, five walks, and a hit batter. He struck out nine.

Josh Hoolibaugh pitched one inning giving up four runs, three earned, on three hits, and a walk while striking out one.

In the nightcap, Elensky (1-for-4, 1 walk, 2 runs) and Billotte (2-for-5) each drove in a pair of runs for Clearfield with Gearhart going 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI, Prestash going 1-for-3 with a double and two walks, and Bloom going 1-for-4 with a walk, and two runs scored. Kam Kushner added a pair of runs scored.

Ryan Marshall had a big game for Huntingdon going 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Mykut was 1-for-2 with a triple, two walks, and a run scored.

Prestash got the win going 5 ⅔ innings allowing four runs, three earned, on eight hits, and four walks while striking out four. Ryan Geargart gave up two hits and walk while striking out one in ⅓ of an inning, and Elsenky pitched threw a clean seven striking out two.

Ashton Steele took the loss going 3 ⅔ innings allowing six runs, two earned, on four hits and four walks while striking out four. CJ Moore pitched ⅔ of an inning giving up an earned run on three hits and two walks, and Lincoln Miller went 2 ⅔ innings allowing one earned runs on two hits and five walks while striking out three.
