KEYSTONE 15, A-C VALLEY 4, 5 INNINGS

KNOX, Pa. – Natalie Bowser and Leah Exley both homered to lift Keystone to a 15-4, five-inning win over visiting A-C Valley.

Bowser was 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs, and Exley was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, and three RBIs.

   

                  

Also for the Lady Panthers, Bella Black was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored, and Emily Gruber was 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored.

Avah Burke went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored for A-C Valley with Mackenzie Parks going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Exley was the winning pitcher going five innings allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits while striking out five.

Shaina Whitmer took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing eight runs, three earned, on three hits and four walks. Rylan Strausser pitched 2 ⅓ innings allowing seven runs, five earned, on nine hits, and a walk while striking out one.

KEYSTONE 16, BROOKVILEL 0, 4 INNINGS

                          

KNOX, Pa. – Natalie Bowser went 3-for-3 with a home run, a walk, a run scored, and four RBIs, and also threw a four-inning no-hitter to help Keystone to its second win of the day, 16-0, in four innings over visiting Brookville.

The only base runners against Bowser reached on an error and a hit batter. She struck out three.

Sydney Bell chipped in on offense going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs with Emma Gruber going 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Gabby Wolbert 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored, and Karley Callander 1-for-2 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 9, CRANBERRY 0

               

DUBOIS, Pa. – Morgan Tyler fired a no-hitter to lead DuBois Central Catholic to a 9-0 “road” win over Cranberry at the softball field at DCC High School.

Forced to go on the road to play at home because of poor field conditions at Cranberry, the Berries only reached on a pair of errors against Tyler, who struck out seven and didn’t walk a batter.

Meanwhile, Kali Franklin was 2-for-2 with a triple, a double, two walks, two runs scored, and four RBIs to lead the DCC offense.

Also for the Lady Cards, Rose Whipple went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, Emma Suplizio was 2-for-4, Lauren Davidson was 2-for-4 with a double, and a run scored, and Jessy Frank was 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Alisha Beggs took the loss going five innings allowing five runs, four earned, one eight hits and two walks while striking out two. Alaina Hogue went two innings allowing four earned runs on six hits.

BRADFORD 4, OSWAYO VALLEY 3

BRADFORD, Pa. – Alana Benson was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs to help Bradford get past visiting Oswayo Valley, 4-3.

Allysa Johnson was also 2-for-2 with a run scored for the Lady Owls with Maddie Dougherty going 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.

Brooke George was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Oswayo Valley with MaKenzie Messler going 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Kalie Dixon got the win going seven innings allowing three earned runs on eight hits, three walks, and two hit batters. She struck out 10.

            

Messler took the loss going six innings allowing four earned runs on nine hits and a hit batter while striking out three.

CLARION 5, REDBANK VALLEY 2

CLARION, Pa. – Noel Anthony went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, and three runs scored to help Clarion knock off visiting Redbank Valley, 5-2.

Bri Forrest and Jordan Best both drove in two runs in the win with Forrest going 1-for-3 with a double and Best 1-for-3 with a triple and a run scored.

Paytin Polka was 2-for-3 with a run scored for Redbank Valley with Jenna Bailey going 1-for-1 with two RBIs and Josie Neiswonger 2-for-3.

Payton Simko got the win going seven innings allowing two earned runs on six hits while striking out 12.

Mackenzie Foringer took the loss going six innings allowing five earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven.

BROCKWAY SWEEPS UNION IN DOUBLEHEDER

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Brockway swept a doubleheader from visiting Union winning 10-0 in five innings and 14-3 in five innings.

In the first game, Gabby Hertel threw a one-hit shutout allowing a walk and striking out six.

Savannah Ross was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs to lead the Lady Rovers offense with Taylor Rhed going 2-for-4 with two runs scored, Kalina Powell 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Stephanie Stage 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored, and Danielle Wood 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored.

Ashlyn Blystone had the hit for Union.

Magen Walzak took the loss going five innings allowing 10 runs, eight earned, on nine hits, four walks, and a hit batter while striking out three.

In the nightcap, MXX Heckman was 2-for-4 with a run scored and four RBIs to lead the Brockway offense with Powell going 1-for-1 with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Also for the Lady Rovers, Wood was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored and AXX Decker scored three times and had an RBI.

Autumn Blystone went 2-for-3 with a run scored for Union.

Rhed got the win going three innings allowing one earned run on four hits and a walk while striking out one. Hertel allowed two unearned runs on one hit and two walks while striking out two in two innings in the circle.

Kya Wetzel took the loss going 1 ⅓ innings allowing seven earned runs on one hit, seven walks, and a hit batter while striking out two.

Walzak gave up seven runs, two earned, on three hits, five walks, and two hit batters while striking out two in 2 ⅔ innings of work.

CLEARFIELD 9, BELLEFONTE 0

HYDE, Pa. – Emma Hipps tossed a one-hit shutout to lead Clearfield to a 9-0 win over visiting Bellefonte.

Hipps struck out 13 and didn’t walk a batter.

Lauren Ressler had a big day at the plate for the Lady Bison going 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

Alaina Fedder was also 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Clearfield with Oliva Bender going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored, and Hipps helped her own cause by going 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI.

Madison Melius had the lone hit for Bellefonte, a single leading off the seventh that broke up Hipps’ no-hit bid.

Josselyn Nau took the loss going three innings allowing nine earned runs on 11 hits and two walks while striking out one.

FOREST AREA 15, KANE 2, 5 INNINGS

KANE, Pa. – Alexis Oswald went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored, and five RBIs to lead Forest Area to a 15-2, five-inning road win over Kane.

Faith Dietrich was also 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and three RBIs for the Lady Fires with Brenna Thompson going 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs, and Emma McFarland going 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Jenny Crowley was 1-for-2 with an RBI for Kane.

Izabelle Flick got the win going five innings allowing two runs on three hits, three walks, and a hit batter while striking out eight.

Madi Stahli took the loss allowing 15 runs, 14 earned,on 12 hits, seven walks, and a hit batter while striking out two in five innings.

CURWENSVILLE 12, BELLWOOD-ANTIS, 0, 5 INNINGS

BELLWOOD, Pa. – Addison and Maddison Butler both had big days to lead visiting Curwensville to a 12-0, five-inning win over Bellwood-Antis.

Addison Butler was 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and three RBIs, while Maddison Butler was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Also for the Lady Tide, Teagan Harzinski was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored, and Rylee Wiggins was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored. Marlee Gasper also scored a pair of runs.

Joslynne Freyer got the win allowing three hits and hitting a batter in five innings of work. She struck out nine.
