A-C VALLEY 13, REDBANK VALLEYU 3, 5 INNINGS

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Mackenzie Parks hit a two-run home run and drove in five runs to lift visiting A-C Valley to a 13-3, five-inning win at Redbank Valley.

Parks was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Meah Ielase, Avah Burke, and Lexi Bauer each added a pair of RBIs for the Lady Falcons with Ielase going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored, Burke going 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored, and Bauer 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored while also being hit by a pitch.

   

                  

Also for A-C Valley, Maddie Hurrelbrink was 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

Leigh Ann Hetrick was 3-for-3 with two runs scored for Redbank Valley

Shaina Whitmer got the win in the circle going five innings allowing three earned runs on eight hits, three walks, and a hit batter while striking out two.

Mackenzie Foringer took the loss going five innings allowing 13 runs, four earned, on 10 hits, three walks, and a hit batter while striking out six.

CLEARFIELD 9, HOLLIDAYSBURG 3

                          

HYDE, Pa. – Lauren Ressler went 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and three RBIs to help Clearfield shake off its first loss of the season Monday with a 9-3 win over visiting Hollidaysburg Tuesday.

Emma Hipps did a little of everything for the Lady Bison in the win going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, and an RBI while also being the winning pitcher. She threw seven innings allowing three earned runs on six hits while striking out 14.

Ruby Singleton was also 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs for Clearfield, and Olivia Bender hit her seventh home run of the season while going 1-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Abigail Steiner was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI for Hollidaysburg with Olivia Vincent going 2-for-3 with a run scored and Alexis Peacock 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

               

Maria Malone took the loss going 2 ⅓ innings allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out four. Madison Alexy pitched 3 ⅔ innings allowing eight earned runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out one.

CURWENSVILLE 4, WILLIAMSBURG 0

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Joslynne Freyer threw a two-hit shutout to lead Curwensville to a 4-0 win over visiting Williamsburg.

Freyer walked one, hit one, and struck out 11. She was also 3-for-3 at the plate. Courtesy runner Kaylie Shaw scored twice.

Teagan Harzinski also helped the offensive cause for the Lady Tide going 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Mackenzie Wall was 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs.

KANE 22, SMETHPORT 12, 5 INNINGS

SMETHPORT, Pa. – A wild game erupted in Smethport with Kane outslugging the Lady Hubbers, 22-12, in five innings despite a monster game from Smethport’s Janelle Dinch.

Dinch hit a pair of home runs and added a single while driving in eight runs.

But Leah Tigani had a double, a single, four runs scored, and four RBIs for Kane, and Kylie Iak also drove in three runs.

In addition for the Lady Wolves, Maya Smith had a double and scored four times, and Sadie Walter tripled.

            

Elizabeth Hunginville added a home run for Smethport.
