ST. JOE’S (NY) 8, MCDOWELL 4

BUFFALO – McDowell got swept in a doubleheader by St. Joe’s (NY) to close the regular season on Saturday.

In Game 1, Dan Snyder went a pair of scoreless innings with four strikeouts before Spencer Dietz gave up a pair of runs, suffering the loss, in four innings of work. He allowed three hits and struck out three.

Snyder had an RBI single for the Trojans.

   

                  

Griff Snyder got the Game 1 win for St. Joe’s, allowing one run in his four innings of work on three hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Anthony Greco belted a 2-run home run in the sixth for St. Joe’s.

In Game 2, St. Joe’s took a commanding 6-1 lead after three innings en route to the win. Thomas Zwirecki had an RBI double in the first tinning and Joey Haynes an RBI double in the second.

Max Stanger got the win, allowing three runs in 3 ⅔ innings, striking out four, and allowing five hits.

St. Joe’s overcame a big game from McDowell’s Sam Crowley, who homered in the second and fifth innings, both solo shots.

                          

The Trojans sent out six different pitchers in the game. Curtis King took the loss, allowing four runs in 1 ⅓ innings.

MEADVILLE 5, TITUSVILLE 4, 8 innings

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Eva Dillaman’s walk-off RBI double sent Meadville to a 5-4 win over Titusville.

Meadville took a 4-2 lead with a 4-run fourth, but Titusville scored single runs in the fifth and sixth to pull even.

               

Maddison Blood went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run for the Bulldogs, while Dillaman had a pair of RBIs, as did Madelyn Hilson.

Katie Say earned the win, allowing just one earned run in the complete-game effort. She struck out 10 and allowed five hits.

Audrey Herman went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run for Titusville. She also took the loss, allowing four earned runs in 7 ⅓ innings. She struck out 13, gave up seven hits and walked one.
