GIRLS

MAPLEWOOD 58, YOUNGSVILLE 26

MAPLEWOOD 56, EISENHOWER 31

                                      

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Maplewood made the rounds around Warren County, winning at Youngsville in an afternoon contest and following that up with an evening win over Eisenhower. 

In the game against Youngsville, Izzy Eimer scored 14 points, while Sadie Thomas added 12 and Alexis Doolittle nine. 

The Tigers led by two at the end of the first quarter, using a 19-8 run in the second quarter to help gain control. 

Kenzie Olewine had a strong game for Youngsville, knocking down a pair of 3’s on her way to a 12-point performance. 

In Maplewood’s nightcap against the Knights, Eisenhower actually led at the half, 23-21, but Maplewood went on a 20-3 run in the third quarter to take control. 

                          

Thomas had 13 points to lead the way, while Doolittle had 11 and Bailey Varndell eight. 

Delaney Chase had a strong game for Eisenhower with 16 points, five rebounds, two assists and a block. Mackenzie Dunn added eight points and four rebounds for Ike. 

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 41, SENECA 31

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Cambridge Springs outscored Seneca 41-31 in the second half on its way to a 41-31 win over Seneca. 

Maddie Yanc scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half for Cambridge Springs, while Mackenzie Yanc had eight of her 12 in the fourth quarter. 

Jordyn Wheeler added seven points for the Blue Devils. 

Taylor Klick led Seneca with 13 points. 

MERCYHURST PREP 36, SLIPPERY ROCK 33

ERIE, Pa. – Mercyhurst Prep outscored Slippery Rock by 11 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 36-33 non-region showdown victory 

Caylen Spano came up big for the Lakers with 13 points, while Anna Tranum chipped in with nine. 

                                   

Joce Ollinger and Olivia Kulyk added four points each for Mercyhurst Prep. 

Kelly Benson led Slippery Rock with 13 points, while Anna Kadlubek and Bronwyn McCoy added six each. 

FAIRVIEW 34, HARBOR CREEK 30

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Fairview outscored Harbor Creek 17-10 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 34-30 victory. 

Sara Gennuso knocked down a pair of big 3’s in the final eight minutes for the TIgers, while Hope Garrity went 3-of-4 from the free throw line. 

Caroline Zentis led Fairview with 10 points. 

Rylee Kaspar had 10 points for Harbor Creek, while Lily Pulvino added eight. 

CONNEAUT (Pa.) 56, HICKORY 35

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Rylee Jones poured in 23 points as Conneaut notched a 56-35 win over Hickory. 

Jones scored 15 of her 23 points in the first half, while Jaelyn Blood added 14 points for the Eagles. 

McKenzie Gustas had a strong game for Hickory with 18 points, 13 of which came in the first half. 

MCDOWELL 52, GROVE CITY 27

ERIE, PA. – Sydney Keinath scored 16 points and Emina Selimovic 12 as McDowell earned a 52-27 victory over Grove City. 

McDowell used an 8-0 run in the second quarter to help take control. 

Emma and Becca Santom had seven points each to pace Grove City. 

                                  

LAKEVIEW 55, UNION CITY 34

UNION CITY, Pa. – Reese Gadsby poured in 22 points to help Lakeview to a 55-34 win over Union City. 

Amber Sefton added 12 points for the Sailors, who led 28-15 at halftime. 

Eliza Reynolds had another strong game for the Lady Bears, connecting for 18 points. 

WEST MIDDLESEX 60, ROCKY GROVE 19

KENNEDY CATHOLIC 56, WEST MIDDLESEX 31 

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – West Middlesex split a home doubleheader, beating Rocky Grove 60-19 and falling to Kennedy Catholic, 56-31. 

Taylor Tomko led the way in the first game with 13 points, while Emily Anthony chipped in with 12 and Carlie Beatty 10. 

Paige Cresswell led Rocky Grove with nine points. 

Bellah DiNardo scored 19 points to lead Kennedy Catholic, while Keegan MConahy added 12 in the win for KC. 

Anthony led the Big Reds with 10 points. 

GREENVILLE 48, MEADVILLE 20

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Jaidah Rosario scored 17 points and Josie Lewis 16 as Greenville powered past Meadville, 48-20. 

Crizya Chew led Meadville with nine points. 

BOYS

FRANKLIN 65, WARREN 59

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Trailing by one going in the fourth quarter, Franklin outscored Warren 26-19 in the fourth quarter to snap the Dragons’ 9-game winning streak, 65-59. 

Franklin’s Easton Fulmer and Warren’s Ben Berdine both had big fourth quarters. Fulmer scored 11 of his team-high 21 points over the final eight minutes, while Berdine also had 11 in the fourth, part of a 24-point effort. 

In a back-and-forth affair, the Knights led 25-24 at halftime. 

Damon Curry also had a big hand late for Franklin, scoring seven of his 14 points in the fourth, while Luke Guth finished with 10. 

Payton Barnes scored 14 points for the Dragons, including three 3’s in the first quarter, and Parks Ordiway chipped in with 12. 

Berdine added 12 rebounds and Tommy Nyquist dished out 10 assists for Warren. 

GENERAL MCLANE 79, COCHRANTON 38

EDINBORO, Pa. – Carson Seneta led five General McLane players in double figures with 14 points as the Lancers topped Cochranton, 79-38. 

Alex Bruce, Tyler Banko and Danny Bruce added 11 points each for the Lancers, while Owen Martin added 10. 

Tyler George led Cochranton with 10 points, while Keeton Grimes added nine and Wyatt Barzak eight. 

YOUNGSVILLE 56, EISENHOWER 33

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Ethan Kesterholt scored 17 points, including 13 in the second half as Youngsville raced to a 56-33 win over Eisenhower. 

The Eagles used a 16-6 run in the second quarter to help take control. 

Dominic Dell scored 11 points for the Eagles, while Timber Bower chipped in with nine and Joe Mack eight. 

Kris Bunk led Eisenhower with 11 points. 

HICKORY 50, GROVE CITY 21

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Hickory limited Grove City’s offense in a 50-21 victory. 

Connor Evans 11 of his game-high 17 points in the first half for the Hornets. Jackson Pryts netted 15 points for the winners and Peyton Mele 13 (11 in the second half). 

Michael Brooks scored 11 points to pace Grove City. 

SAEGERTOWN 52, MERCER 40

MERCER, Pa. – Max Fuller scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half as Saegertown beat Mercer, 52-40. 

The Panthers outscored the Mustangs 24-14 in the fourth quarter. 

Jaden Wilkins added 10 points and Brady Greco eight for the Panthers. 

Woody Nickel had 13 points to lead Mercer. 

REYNOLDS 53, ROCKY GROVE 39

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Reynolds outscored Rocky Grove 30-18 in the second half on its way to a 53-39 victory. 

Riley Walker scored 15 points, while Ashton Small added 13 and Aidan Mull 11 for the Raiders. 

Isaac Clayton led Trocky Grove with a game-high 16 points. 

HARBOR CREEK 68, CORRY 33

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Sam Howell poured in 22 points as Harbor Creek raced past Corry, 68-33. 

Jaden Rocco had 13 points and Ryan Whitman added 12 for the Huskies. 

Nick Brundage paced Corry with 16 points. 

KENNEDY CATHOLIC 66, LAKEVIEW 29

STONEBORO, Pa. – Kennedy Catholic outscored Lakeview 28-2 in the third quarter en route to a 66-29 victory. 

Sky’Ler Thomas led four Kennedy players in double figures with 19 points, while Dajaun Young added 14, Malik Lampkins-Rudolph 13 and Elijah Harden 11. 

Cameron Pence led Lakeview with 15 points. 

JAMESTOWN 69, COMMODORE PERRY 43

HADLEY, Pa. – Cameron Keyster scored 23 points to lead Jamestown to a 69-43 victory over Commodore Perry. 

Sean McElhinny added 16 points for the Muskies in the victory. 

Karson Cropp led Commodore Perry with 15 points, while Jacob Castona added 14. 

SHARON 67, CONNEAUT (OHIO) 44

CONNEAUT, OHIO – Brett Salsgiver poured in 30 points as Sharon topped Conneaut, 67-44. 

Connor Porterfield chipped in with 11 points for the Tigers.
