Kerle, Lauer Lead Clarion Golf to KSAC Mega-Match Win; West Middlesex Victorious Powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club

   

CLARION, Pa. – Behind Kam Kerle and Devon Lauer, Clarion continued its dominance in KSAC Mega-Matches taking home team medalist honors on its home course, Clarion Oaks, Thursday.

Kerle was the top finisher with a 38 while Lauer was second with a 40.

Three additional Bobcats’ golfers finished in the top nine with McKayla Kerle taking sixth with a 46, Avery Kline tying Clarion-Limestones’ Brady Fowkes for seventh with a 47, and Owen Kriebel tying Cranberry’s Preston Forest and Karns City’s Chloe Fritch for ninth with a 48.

Rounding out the top five were A-C Valley/Union’s Max Southworth, who tied Clarion-Limestone’s Nick Aaron for third with a 43, and Venango Catholic’s Colin Liederbach, who finished fifth with a 44.

C-L was second as a team shooting a 252 well back of Clarion’s 219, while Cranberry was third with a 257.

            

Moniteau did not participate in the match because the school is on remote learning because of COVID-19, and Karns City did not have enough golfers to field a full team, again because of COVID-19.

WEST MIDDLESEX BEATS GREENVILLE IN DUAL MATCH

SHARON, Pa. – Behind a 33 from Caden Bender, West Middlesex topped Greenville, 169-172, in a nine-hole dual match at Buhl Farm Golf Course in Sharon.

Nate Stuyvesant led Greenville with a 40.

                          

KANE WINS A PAIR

KANE, Pa. – Curt Barner shot a 40 to help lead Kane to a narrow 28.5-26.5 win over Ridgway and a 36.5-18.5 victory over Cameron County in North Penns Wood League action.

Also for the Wolves, Max Bizzak carded a 43, Derek Peterson 46, Ryan Huber 57 and Kaden Smith 60.

For Ridgway, Aiden Zimmerman shot a 44, Collin Porter 46 and Logan Jordan 50.

Pacing Cameron County was Camdin Allison with a 50 and Harold Bailey with a 57.

DISTRICT 9 GIRLS GOLF

RIDGWAY, Pa. – In District 9 girls’ golf action at Laurel Mill Golf Course in Ridgway, Brookville, DuBois, and Brockway all beat the host Lady Elkers.

Ridgway carded a 277 and went head-to-head against the above three losing all three with Brookville shooting a 269, DuBois a 203, and Brockway a 272.

The Lady Elkers did get a win over Curwensville, which didn’t have enough golfers to score.

The individual medalist was Alexis Pfeufer of DuBois, who shot a 45 eight shots ahead of Ridgway’s Kaitlyn Amacher and DuBois’ Sophia Seducky, who both carded 53s.
