HERMITAGE, Pa. – Kennedy Catholic jumped out to a 14-point first-quarter lead in the first quarter and never looked back, beating Farrell 51-34 for the District 10 Class 1A girls basketball title on Saturday.

The championship is the 11th straight for the Golden Eagles.
It was a balanced attack, as Bellah DiNardo scored 14 points and Paris Gilmore netted 13.
It was Gilmore who had it going early for the unbeaten Golden Eagles (18-0), scoring nine of her points in the first half.
Gabrielle King and Jaylie Green did their best to keep Farrell (14-6) in it, scoring nine points apiece.
Hayden Keith added nine points and Keegan McConahy six for Kennedy.
With the win, the Golden Eagles advance to play District 5 champion Shanksville on Wednesday in the first round of the PIAA playoffs.
