NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Kane Area High School graduate Emily Bucheit earned Presidents’ Athletic Conference Women’s Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.
Bucheit, a sophomore, averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game last week for 2-0 Geneva. She shot 60.0 percent (12-20) from the floor and 46.7 percent (7-15) from three-point range. Bucheit also made 6-of-8 (.750) free throw. She posted a career-high 20 points to go along with five rebounds and three steals in Wednesday’s 89-67 win over Franciscan.
In Saturday’s 79-78 victory over Waynesburg, Bucheit finished with 17 points and six rebounds.
She is averaging 8.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this season and has averaged 14.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in four PAC games.
