MONITEAU 49, ST. MARYS 44
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Outscoring St. Marys 12-4 in the fourth quarter, Moniteau rallied for a 49-44 road win.
Kyle Pry helped seal the win for the Warriors hitting 5 of 6 fourth-quarter free throws. Pry finished with a game-high 23 points while hitting four 3-pointers.
Also for the Warriors, Ryan Jewart scored 13 points.
Anthony Nedinski had a career night for St. Marys hitting five 3-pointers and finishing with a career-best 19 points. He had scored 34 points all season.
Quin Gavazzi added nine points for the Dutch with Zack Thorwart chipping in eight. St. Mary was without leading scorer Tanner Fox (7.3 ppg).
BROOKVILLE 57, JOHNSONBURG 39
JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Coming off its first loss of the season, Brookville found itself down by a point after the first quarter but rallied to beat Johnsonburg, 57-39, in Johnsonburg.
The Raiders trailed 16-15 after eight minutes but led 25-23 at halftime before outscoring the Rams 32-16 in the second half.
Danny Lauer hit four second-half 3-pointers, including three in the fourth quarter, on his way to a game-high 20 points. He hit six triples in the game.
Griffin Ruhlman added nine points and Ian Pete seven for the Raiders.
Jake Lobaugh paced Johnsonburg with 12 points, Jefferson Freeburg added nine, and Aaron Myers and Luke Zimmerman had seven each.
A-C VALLEY 60, SHEFFIELD 52
SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Trailing 16-13 at halftime, A-C Valley exploded for 47 second-half points on its way to a 60-52 win at Sheffield.
The Falcons got the game tied at 31 by the end of the third quarter and then rode the play of Jay Clover in the fourth quarter to the win.
Clover scored 12 of his 18 points in the final eight minutes and completed a double-double with 11 rebounds.
Landon Chalmers had the game of his life with 20 points and 20 rebounds to pace A-C Valley. He added eight points in the fourth quarter and 16 in the second half.
Leihden Wotorson led Sheffield with 16 points, Lucas McNeal added 11, and Connor Finch 10. Caden Copley also scored seven, all in the fourth quarter.
UNION 65, CRANBERRY 56
RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Union built a 17-point lead going to the fourth quarter on its way to a 65-56 win over visiting Cranberry.
The Golden Knights, who were playing the Berries for the second time in four days (they won 65-45 Friday at Cranberry), led 57-40 after 24 minutes of action.
Payton Johnston scored a career-high 26 points to lead Union while adding six steals, four rebounds, and a blocked shot.
Dawson Camper had a double-double for the Golden Knights with 11 points and 15 rebounds with Caden Rainey also scoring 11 points to go with six assists, five rebounds, and three steals.
Zander Laughlin gave Union four players in double digits with 10 points while also collecting four rebounds.
Noah Weaver led Cranberry with 13 points, Ethan Merryman added 11, and Preston Forrest had 10.
DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 72, ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC ACADEMY 54
DUBOIS, Pa. – Alec Srock and Luke Swisher both had double-doubles to lead DuBois Central Catholic past visiting St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy, 72-54.
Srock led the Cardinals with 23 points and 12 rebounds with Swisher adding 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Also for DCC, Andrew Green scored 14 points and Jalen Kosko nine.
Chris Warner led St. Joe’s with 14 points with Tim Peters and Spencer Gigante adding 13 apiece.
OTTO-ELDRED 42, KANE 27
KANE, Pa. – Gavin Jimerson and Landon Francis combined for 28 points, nine rebounds, six steals, and six assists to help visiting Otto-Eldred beat Kane, 42-27.
Jimerson had 16 points, five rebounds, two steals, and two assists with Francis adding 12 points, four rebounds, four steals, and four assists.
Austin Cousins added nine points for the Terrors.
Andy Jekielek led Kane with seven points with Jack Bell Jr. adding four points and five rebounds and Justin Mischic three points and five rebounds.
REDBANK VALLEY 69, HOMER-CENTER 39
NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Chris Marshall scored all 18 of his points in the first three quarters to help Redbank Valley roll past visiting Homer-Center, 69-39.
On the day he committed to play football at California (Pa.),. Marquese Gardlock added 14 points for the Bulldogs, and Bryson Bain chipped in with 12. Mason Clouse also had 10 points for Redbank Valley, and Owen Clouse eight.
Michael Krejocic led Homer-Center with 13 points with Austin Zenisek adding 11.
BROCKWAY 50, FOREST AREA 26
BROCKWAY, Pa. – Ten points each from Joe Hertel and Noah Adams helped Brockway cruise past visiting Forest Area, 50-26.
Dylan Coder also scored nine points for the Rovers, who had nine different players score.
Allen Johnston and Colton Kuntz scored seven points each for Forest Area.
BELLEFONTE 45, DUBOIS 35
DUBOIS, Pa. – Blair Eckley-Jones scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half to help Bellefonte pull away from homestanding DuBois, 45-35.
The game was tied at 20 at the break, but the Raiders controlled the second half to get the win.
Gannon Brungard led Bellefonte with 13 points, while DJ McCaslin added eight. Joey Foradora hit four 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 15 points for DuBois while Chooch Husted added 10 and Ryan Kovalyak eight.
