PORT ALLEGANY 56, SMETHPORT 37

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Strong all-around games from Drew Evens, Braylon Button, Blaine Moses, and Ty Guilds lifted visiting Port Allegany to a 56-37 win over Smethport in NTL action.

Evens scored a game-best 18 points to go with seven rebounds, three blocks, and two assists with Button adding 16 points and seven rebounds.

                                      

Moses chipped in nine points, 12 rebounds, and three helpers, and Guilds had seven points and five assists.

Only three Smethport players scored led by 15 points from Preston Alfieri, who hit five 3-pointers. Alex Ognen added 14 points while hitting four threes and Brandon Higley hit a pair of triples and finished with eight points.

JOHNSONBURG 53, COUDERSPORT 44

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – An 18-point effort from Jake Lobaugh helped visiting Johnsonburg beat Coudersport, 53-44.

Jefferson Freeburg added nine points for the Rams with Isaiah Jackson scoring eight and Aaron Myers seven.

                          

Christian Furman and Garrett Kellert each scored 13 points for Coudersport with Kellert adding eight rebounds and Furman four rebounds and four steals.

Logan Ruter also had eight points and eight boards for the Falcons.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 56, KANE 22

KANE, Pa. – Charlie Breindel netted a game-high 16 points to lead Elk County Catholic to a 56-22 road AML North win over Kane.

Jordan Wasko added 13 points in the victory for the Crusaders, who led 29-8 at halftime, while Luke Jansen chipped in 12.

KEYSTONE 64, CRANBERRY 30

SENECA, Pa. – Behind 15 points and 14 rebounds from Bret Wingard, Keystone won its fourth straight game and moved to .500 for the first time this season with a 64-30 KSAC Large School win at Cranberry.

The 6-6 Panthers also got eight points and five steals from Zander McHenry and eight points and five assists from Tyler Albright.

Ethan Merryman paced Cranberry with nine points.

                                   

AUSTIN 36, OSWAYO VALLEY 24

AUSTIN, Pa. – In a low-scoring affair, Austin got 11 points and five rebounds from Cameron Rees to top visiting Oswayo Valley, 36-24, in NTL action.

Adam Lucas added seven points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers with Jacob Hooftallen also scoring seven points to go with nine rebounds. Dawson Hooftallen pulled down seven boards and scored four points.

Cayden Black and Mike Mertsock each scored eight points for Oswayo Valley.

OTTO-ELDRED 78, NORTHERN POTTER 14

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Building a 23-2 lead at the end of the first quarter Otto-Eldred rolled to a 78-14 home NTL win over Northern Potter.

Despite actually not scoring in the first eight minutes, Gavin Jimerson led the Terrors with 19 points with Austin Cousins scoring 16, including 12 on four first-quarter 3-pointers.

Cousins added six steals, four assists, and six rebounds, and Jimerson had four steals and two rebounds.

Also for Otto-Eldred Manning Splain chipped in 11 points and three assists and Landon Francis nine points, six assists, four steals, and three rebounds.

Nolen Smith accounted for half of the Panthers’ 14 points with seven for Northern Potter.
