Jan. 13, 2023 Luton’s Plumbing, Heating, AC Wrestling: D9/10 Wrestlers Have Big First Day at Mid-Winter Mayhem; Reynolds Tops Prep at Fitzgerald Field House

INDIANA, Pa. – A total of 15 District 9 and District 10 wrestlers are through to the semifinals at the 49-team Mid-Winter Mayhem at IUP.

                        

Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner (107), Brockway’s Weston Pisarchick (114), McDowell’s Logan Sallot (114), Fort LeBeouf’s Jake Bennett (121), Brookville’s Cole Householder (127), Fort LeBoeuf JoJo Przybycien (133), Clearfield’s Brady Collins (139), Hickory’s Connor Saylor (139), McDowell’s Caleb Butterfield (160), St. Marys’ Waylon Wehler (172), Fort LeBoeuf’s Connor McChesney (172), Brookville’s Jackson Zimmerman (189), Brockway’s Seth Stewart (189), Fort LeBoeuf’s Danny Church (215) and Brockway’s Gavin Thompson (285) are all still alive in their respective championship brackets.

REYNOLDS 41, CATHEDRAL PREP 24

PITTSBURGH – Reynolds got four wins via pin in a 41-24 win over Cathedral Prep at the University of Pittsburgh’s Fitzgerald Fieldhouse.

Chase Bell (138), Vito Gentile (160), Jalen Wagner (172) and Angelo Lomonte (106) all won by fall for the Raiders.

                              

Also for Reynolds, Louie Gill (120) and Brayden McCloskey (215) won by tech fall, while Santino Gentile (145) won by major decision and Waylon Waite (113) via a 7-3 decision.

For Cathedral Prep, Sam Saab (132), Bo Martucci (152) and Max Spaulding (285) all won by fall, while Owen Shetler got a 4-0 decision at 189 and Andrew Gammon a 3-0 decision at 126.
