Jan. 13, 2022 D10 Boys’ Hoops: Franklin Powers Past Wilmington; Hickory Outlasts Grove City

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Easton Fulmer led three Franklin players in double figures with 23 points as the Knights powered past Wilmington, 80-29.

Franklin scored 50 points in the first half en route to the win.

Fulmer drilled five threes, while Luke Guth scored 15 points, Damon Curry 13, and Scott Walters nine.

Colin Hill led Wilmington with nine points.

SLIPPERY ROCK 49, GREENVILLE 39

                                      

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Dylan Gordon led three Slippery Rock players in double figures with 16 points as Slippery Rock earned a 49-39 Region 4 win over Greenville.

Elam Pyle had 12 points for the Rockets and John Sabo 11.

Jalen Ritzert scored a game-high 18 points for Greenville and Logan Lentz added 14.

HICKORY 50, GROVE CITY 37

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Joey Fazzone led three Hickory players in double figures with 16 points in a 50-37 Region 4 win over Grove City.

                          

Jackson Pryts had 12 points for the Hornets and Aidan Enoch as 11, as they remained in sole possession of second place in the region.

Landon Haggart led Grove City with 12 points and Dylan Stull added 11.

ERIE 65, MCDOWELL 46

ERIE, Pa. – Andreas McCullum scored 21 points as Erie earned a 65-46 win over McDowell in the Region 6 opener for both teams.

Jay Smith had 14 points for Erie, which built a 35-22 halftime lead on its way to the win. Layveon Gore and Shaquawn Horton had seven points each for the Royals.

Brody Paris had 16 points for McDowell, while Jake Banks added 11.

WEST MIDDLESEX 44, MERCER 41, overtime

MERCER, Pa. – Richie Preston scored 13 points as West Middlesex outlasted Mercer in overtime of a Region 1 battle, 44-41.

Tanner Shick added 10 points for the Big Reds, while Logan Shrawder.

Woody Nickel had 16 points for Mercer and Connor Grossman eight.

                                   

KENNEDY CATHOLIC 75, COMMODORE PERRY 21

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Elijah Harden scored 22 points, one of four Kennedy Catholic players in double figures in a 75-21 Region 1 win over Commodore Perry.

Gio Magestro added 12 points for the Golden Eagles, while Malik Lampkins-Rudolph had 11 and Simeir Wade 10.

Kyle Stringert led Commodore Perry with eight points.
