Hickory, Warren, McDowell Claim District 10 Competitive Spirit Championships

Warren captured the D10 large school competitive spirit championship on Saturday.

ERIE, Pa. – Warren, McDowell, and Hickory captured District 10 competitive spirit championships on Saturday at the Hagerty Family Events Center.

McDowell won the co-ed division (the only team entered in the event) with a score of 90.87, while Warren captured the large school division (85.40) and Hickory (88.37) the small school division.

All three teams are repeat champions.

Oil City also advanced to the PIAA championships in Hershey with a score of 80.65 in the large school division.

Lakeview finished with a score of 76.47 in the small school division.

The PIAA Championships will be held Friday, Jan. 28, and Saturday, Jan. 29, at the GIANT Center in Hershey.

This year’s PIAA championship format will be broken into five classifications – 2A Small Varsity, 3A Small Varsity, 2A Large Varsity, 3A Large Varsity, and Co-Ed Varsity based on school sizes.
