DUBOIS, Pa. – Carter Hickman went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs to help DuBois Central Catholic beat Clarion, 7-2, at Stern Family Field in DuBois.
Kaden Brezenski was also 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for the Cardinals.
Brandin Anderson pitched a gem in getting the win going 6 ⅔ innings before the 100-pitch limit forced him out of the game. He gave up two earned runs on three hits and four walks while striking out seven. Brezenski got the final out.
Cole Slaugenhoup and Cameron Lapinto were both 1-for-3 with a run scored for Clarion.
Devon Lauer took the loss going 3 ⅓ innings allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits and two walks while striking out two. Dawson Smail pitched 1 ⅔ innings allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits while striking out one. Tanner Miller pitched a scoreless inning striking out one.
