Grove City, DuBois, Kane, Prep Boys Golfers Notch Victories Powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club

   

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Toby Mattson shot a 74 to lead Grove City to another Region 2 Mega Match first place finish, this one at Grove City Country Club.

The Eagles had a team total of 335, besting second-place Hickory by 24 strokes.

Jacob Wolak shot an 83 Slippery Rock, Tyler Hamilton an 84 for Grove City and Hickory’s Ryan Brown and Aiden Enoch an 85 and 86, respectively.

DUBOIS TOPS BROOKVILLE

            

DUBOIS, Pa. – DuBois topped Brookville 179-207 at DuBois Country Club.

DuBois’ Cody Jaconski shot a 41 to earn medalist honors, with Brock Smith (44), Tyson Kennis (47) and Landon Gustagson (46) rounding out the scoring for the Beavers.

Killian Radel had a 50 to pace Brookville, followed by Owen Caylor (51), Bryce Rafferty (51) and Ian Pete (55).

KANE BEATS COUDERSPORT

KANE, Pa. – Curt Barner shot a 41 as Kane beat Coudersport 33-22 at Kane Country Club.

                          

Max Bizzak shot a 43 for the Wolves, while Kane’s Derek Peterson and Coudy’s Alex Davis each carded a 45.

PREP WINS REGION 6 MATCH

GIRARD, Pa. – Cathedral Prep’s Breckin Taylor shot a 72 as the Ramblers rolled to another Region 5 Mega Match victory at Elk Valley.

Prep had a team total of 312, followed by Warren (332) and McDowell (333).

Erie’s Kyle Westfall shot a 74, followed by Warren’s Owen Blum (75) and Braddock Damore (76). Meadville’s Michael Mahoney (77) and Prep’s Trey Thompson (78) had the other sub-80 scores.

HICKORY TRIUMPHS

CONNEAUT LAKE, Pa. – Hickory’s Sasha Petochko shot a 74 as the Hornets cruised to a Region 1 Mega Match win at Oakland Beach.

The Hornets had a team total of 237, with Reynolds coming in second at 296.

                        

Grove City’s Emily Donahue carded an 80, while McKenzie Gustas shot an 81 and Luciana Masters an 82 for Hickory.

Stacia Fennell shot a 90 for Sharpsville and Lydia Heckman a 121 for Lakeview.

MONTIEAU WINS

CLARION, Pa. – Clarion’s McKayla Kerle shot a 36 to earn medalist honors and Moniteau took first place in the team standings at Tuesday’s girls golf match at Clarion Oaks.

Mariska Shunk shot a 56 and Emme Covert a 57 for Moniteau. Cranberry’s Alaina Hogue also shot a 57.

BROOKVILLE VICTORIOUS

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – The Brookville girls golf team won Tuesday’s AML match, with Punxsutanwey’s Maeve Hanley

DuBois’ Alexis Pfeuffer shot a 48, Ridgway’s Skylar Pentz a 50, Curwensville’s Kaitlyn Amacher a 53, and Brookville’s Audrey Barrett a 61 to lead their respective teams.
