Gold, Phillian Named District 9, District 10 Coach of the Year Respectively by PSFCA

HERSHEY, Pa. – Redbank Valley’s Blane Gold and Wilmington’s Brandon Phillian were named the District 9 and District 10 Coach of the Year respectively by the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA).

Gold guided the Bulldogs to their first District 9 title since 1996 winning the Class 1A championship. Redbank Valley then defeated Northern Bedford in the PIAA first round before falling to Reynolds in the quarterfinals. The Bulldogs finished the season with a 7-1 mark.

Phillian led Wilmington to its fifth straight District 10 Class 2A title and to the PIAA Championship game for the third time in four years where the Greyhounds finished second to Southern Columbia. Wilmington concluded the season with a 10-1 mark.
