NEW YORK – Audrey and Mason Friedman had a banner day to cap off the USA Track and Field Youth National Championships.
Audrey, a 2022 Fort LeBoeuf grad bound for Penn State, finished fourth in the 17-18 division of girls’ javelin, while Mason, an incoming Fort LeBoeuf freshman, was sixth in the 15-16 javelin boys division.
Mason Friedman, who won gold in the javelin on Wednesday, had three personal best throws to reach the finals and uncorked a throw of 39.07 meters in the finals to finish sixth. James Chafouleas had a throw of 46.62 to take gold.
Audrey Friedman, meanwhile, had a throw of 42.65 meters to finish fourth, with Kyeese Hollands taking gold with a heave of 45.03.
For Audrey Friedman, this was her seventh All-American designation.
