
ROME, GA. – Fort LeBoeuf’s Audrey Friedman is a national champion.
Friedman, who will be a senior in the fall, won the gold medal in the javelin at the 2021 USA Track and Field National Youth Outdoor Championships on Thursday in the Women’s 17-18-year old division.
Friedman uncorked a throw of 40.33 meters, easily outdistancing second-place Ariez Mendes (32.20 meters).
This comes on the heels of Friedman uncorking a PR throw of 140’1” at the Spire National Throws Championship.
Her next meet will be at the Junior Olympics in Jacksonville in July.
