Fort LeBoeuf’s Friedman Takes Sixth at National Junior Olympic Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Fort LeBoeuf high school standout Audrey Friedman was at it again on Friday.

Friedman, who will be a senior this year for the Bison, finished sixth in the javelin (17-18-year-old division) at the United States Track and Field National Junior Olympic Championships on Friday at the University of North Florida.

Friedman uncorked a throw of 38.47 meters for her sixth-place finish. The winning throw came from Erika Hill at 45.15 meters.

It adds to an already impressive list of accolades for Friedman, who took gold at the USA Track and Field Youth National Championships, as well as her championship throw of 140’1” at the Spire National Throws Championship.

Friedman finished fourth at May’s PIAA Class 2A Track and Field Championships as well with a throw of 135-feet, 2-inches.
