WARREN, Pa. – Ava Ferringer might consider running for public office after earning nearly 66,000 votes in this week’s Gc Town Properties Volleyball Performance of the Week voting.
Ferringer garnered a record 65,813 votes or 54 percent of the voting and outpolled second-place finisher, Baylee Fitzsimmons of Smethport, who had 48,572 votes or 40 percent of the votes. Jadyn Brabham of Oswayo Valley, last week’s winner was third with 4.675 votes. A record total of 121,386 votes were cast.
It was a 17-kill (5.7 per set) performance in a 3-0 win over Franklin Oct. 12 that earned Ferringer the award.
