DUBOIS 56, BROOKVILLE 42

DUBOIS, Pa. – DuBois handed visiting Brookville just its second loss of the season, 56-42.

A big second quarter was the key for the Beavers. They led by one, 11-10, going to the second eight minutes but outscored Brookville 23-9 in the second quarter thanks, in part, to six points each from Lennon Lindholm and Michael Orzechowski.

                                      

Lindholm led DuBois with 19 points with Nick Felix adding 14 and Orzechowski continuing his strong play of late with 12.

Brookville, which was called for two technical fouls in the third quarter, one on Robert Keth and one on head coach Dalton Park, got 10 points apiece from Keth and Griffin Ruhlman but saw leading scorer Jace Miner held to seven points. It was the Raiders’ third game in as many days and its second in a row in DuBois having beaten DuBois Central Catholic Friday.

ST. MARYS 43, COUDERSPORT 37

ST. MARYS, Pa. – For the second time in three days, St. Marys knocked off Coudersport this time getting a 43-37 win over the visiting Falcons.

                          

Holden Housler scored a career-high 18 points for the Dutch.

Hayden Keck led Coudersport with 17 points with Dalton Keglovits adding 10.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 79, GLENDALE 71

FLINTON, Pa. – Playing for the third day in a row didn’t seem to slow down visiting DuBois Central Catholic, as the Cardinals got 23 points and 10 rebounds from Alec Srock.

Damon Foster also had 23 points in the win for DCC.

Ryan Sinclair exploded for a game-high 42 points for Glendale, including 15 in the fourth quarter.

UNION 46, BROCKWAY 33

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Behind a game-high 21 points from Caden Rainey, Union toppled homestanding Brockway, 46-33.

Karter Vogle added 14 points in the win for the Golden Knights.

                                   

Marcus Copelli led Brockway with 11 points.

KEYSTONE 60, CURWENSVILLE 20

KNOX, Pa. – Colin Say and Bret Wingard combined for 25 points to lead Keystone to a 60-20 win over visiting Curwensville.

Say led all scorers with 14 points with Wingard adding 11. Brandon Pierce chipped in nine for the Panthers.

Ty Terry netted 11 for the Golden Tide.

OTTO-ELDRED 60, NORTHERN POTTER 33

ULYSSES, Pa. – Otto-Eldred continued its late-season surge winning its sixth consecutive game and for the eighth time in nine tries thanks to a 60-33 road victory over Northern Potter.

Jake Merry led the Terrors with a game-high 20 points with Gavin Jimerson adding 16.

Tre Slawson hit three 3-pointers for a team-best nine points for Northern Potter.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 55, AUSTIN 25

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Putting three players in double digits, Elk County Catholic ran past visiting Austin, 55-25.

Mark Kraus led the Crusaders with 14 points with Charlies Breindel and Mason McAllister each adding 10 points. Luke Jansen chipped in with eight points.

Jackson Glover had 14 points and seven rebounds for Austin.

                                  

CLARION 83, FOREST AREA 34

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Four double-digit scorers helped visiting Clarion snap a four-game losing streak with an 83-34 rout of Forest Area.

Christian Simko led the Bobcats with 18 points, Cal German added 15, Beau Verdill had 11, and Ethan Burford a season-high 10.

Also for Clarion, Hunter Craddock chipped in nine tallies and Gabe Simko eight.

Cameron Call dialed up 12 points for Forest Area, while Jacob Eddy had 10, eight in the fourth quarter.

UNION CITY 73, SHEFFIELD 65

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Matthew Bennett exploded for 20 points in the fourth quarter as Union City rallied for a 73-65 win over Sheffield. 

The Bears trailed 55-43 going into the fourth quarter and outscored the Wolverines 26-10 in the final eight minutes. 

Bennett finished the game with 34 points, including 9-of-9 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. 

The Bears overcame a big game from Sheffield’s Tyler Hepinger, who scored 28 points, 16 of which came in the second half. In doing so, he passed his grandfather on the Wolverines’ all-time scoring list. 

Cole DeSimone notched 21 points for the Bears in the win, while Connor Johnson added eight for Sheffield.
