BOYS

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 42, COCHRANTON 39

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – In a battle for the top spot in Region 2, Cambridge Springs came away with a hard-fought 42-39 victory over Cochranton. 

Nathan Held had a big game for the Blue Devils, pouring in 23 points, including 7-of-9 from the free-throw line. 

Cochranton led 24-17 at halftime, but Cambridge Springs rallied to tie the game, 31-31 going into the fourth quarter.

Jayden Shinksy had 12 points for the winners, who move to 6-1 overall and 6-0 in Region 2 play. 

Wyatt Barzak and Tyler George scored 11 points each for the Cardinals. 

UNION CITY 68, EISENHOWER 62

UNION CITY, Pa. – Matthew Bennett exploded for 35 points, 20 of which came in the first quarter, in a 68-62 Region 2 win over Eisenhower. 

Bennett made three of his five 3’s in the first quarter as the Bears raced out to a 25-20 lead. 

Not to be outdone, Eisenhower’s Wyatt Lookenhouse had a monster game as well, scoring 29 points (14 in the first half, 15 in the second half). 

Union City led 40-32 at halftime and by 14 going into the fourth quarter. 

Wyatt Post added 11 points and Kyler Shaffer 10 for the Bears. 

Kael Hunt added 16 points for Eisenhower. 

SAEGERTOWN 70, IROQUOIS 37

LAWRENCE PARK, Pa. – Jaden Wilkins led four Saegertown players in double figures with 23 points as the Panthers topped Iroquois, 70-37. 

The Panthers jumped out to a big lead, 32-14 at halftime. 

Brady Greco, Isaac Johnson, and Henry Shaffer had 10 points each for the winners. 

Sam Santiago and Corrion Combest had 10 points each for Iroquois. 

HARBOR CREEK 62, WARREN 27

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Harbor Creek broke open a close game after the first quarter in a 62-27 win over Warren. 

The Huskies led 29-19 at halftime and outscored the Dragons 33-8 in the second half. 

Casey Smith led four Harbor Creek players in double figures with 15 points, while Ryan Whitman and Sam Howell added 13 each and Cody Smith 12. 

Parks Ordiway led Warren with 11 points and Ben Berdine chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds. 

FAIRVIEW 68, TITUSVILLE 31

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Fairview outscored Titusville by 20 in the second quarter on its way to a 68-31 win. 

Harry Murphey led a blanched attack with 15 points, while Liam Spellacy added 12 and Tyler Sultz 11 for the Tigers. 

Manny Perez paced Titusville with 14 points. 

SHARPSVILLE 62, SLIPPERY ROCK 34

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. – Sharpsville jumped out to a 25-6 lead on Slippery Rock on its way to a 62-34 victory. 

Jackson Doyle poured in a game-high 22 points to lead four Sharpsville players in double figures. 

Mack Staunch added 12, and Ryan Ladjevich and James Thomas 10 each for the winners. 

Ethan Plesakov had 15 points to top Slippery Rock. 

HICKORY 74, GREENVILLE 49

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Connor Evans scored 20 points as Hickory notched a 74-49 win over Greenville. 

Hickory led 39-21 at halftime. 

Evans scored 15 of his 20 points in the first half, while Peyton Mele tallied 19 points and Matt Cannone 18 (16 in the second half). 

Ben Cano had a big game for Greenville with 23 points, while Landon Bielata added nine. 

MAPLEWOOD 39, YOUNGSVILLE 36

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – In a game that was tight from start to finish, Maplewood held off visiting Youngsville, 39-36. 

Brandon Snell and Logan Thomas scored 10 points each to lead Maplewood. 

Joe Mack and Dominic Dell each had nine to pace Youngsville. 

OIL CITY 53, CONNEAUT 35

OIL CITY, Pa. – Oil City outscored Conneaut by 16 in the first half on its way to a 53-35 victory.

Holden Stahl scored 11 points and Isaiah Aeschbacher 10 for the Oilers.

Mason Kroniser and Zach Walker had 11 points each for Conneaut.

MERCER 64, COMMODORE PERRY 35

MERCER, Pa. – Logan Turton and Jake Mattocks scored 16 points each to lead Mercer to a 64-35 win over Commodore Perry. 

Karson Cropp scored 14 points to lead the Panthers. 

KENNEDY CATHOLIC 88, JAMESTOWN 37

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Five Kennedy Catholic players scored in double figures as the Golden Eagles beat Jamestown, 88-37. 

Elijah Harden led the way with 16 points, while Gio Magestro added 15, Sky’Ler Thomas 13, Malik Lampkins-Rudolph 13 and Blaze Campbell 11. 

Cameron Keyser had a big game for Jamestown with 22 points. 

NORTH EAST 71, ERIE FIRST CHRISTIAN 51

NORTH EAST, Pa. – Garrett Heim drained nine 3’s on his way to 35 points as North East beat Erie First Christian, 71-51. 

Carter Hassenplug added 12 points and Seth Fuller 10 for the North East. 

Aaron Collins had 27 points and Tyler Lockett 16 for EFC. 

GIRARD 49, MERCYHURST PREP 38

ERIE, Pa. – Ethan Gimber scored 14 points to lead Girard to a 49-38 win over Mercyhurst Prep. 

Ethan Getz added 13 and Austin Barrett 11 for the winners. 

Daunte Wilcott scored 14 points for the Lakers. 

MCDOWELL 52, ERIE HIGH 48

ERIE, Pa. – Jonah Bock scored 24 points as McDowell rallied past Erie High, 52-48. 

Mason Beck added 12 points for the Trojans in the win. 

Jamie Smith scored 15 points and Marquell Darnell added 10 for Erie. 

NORTHWESTERN 60, CONNEAUT (OHIO) 30

ALBION, Pa.- Cam Perkins scored 28 points as Northwestern doubled up Conneaut (Ohio), 60-30. 

Eric Steinle added nine points for the Wildcats. 

GIRLS 

CONNEAUT (Pa.) 49, OIL CITY 31

OIL CITY, Pa. – Samantha Egli scored 12 points and Rylee Jones 10 to lead Conneaut (Pa.) in a 49-31 win over Oil City. 

The Eagles outscored the Oilers 24-10 in the second half en route to the win. 

Bella Davis added nine points for Conneaut. 

Jenna Fischli had 13 points for Oil City and Maddie Wenner eight. 

PORTERSVILLE CHRISTIAN 48, JAMESTOWN 12

JAMESTOWN, Pa. – Molly Castina scored 12 points as Portersville Christian raced past Jamestown, 48-12. 

Jillian McElhinny and Sara Stevenson had four points each for Jamestown.
