CLARION 42, DUBOIS 37

CLARION, Pa. – Erica Selfridge scored 13 of her 15 points from the free-throw line, and Jordan Best scored nine fourth-quarter points to help Clarion beat visiting DuBois, 42-37.

Selfridge was 13 of 17 from the charity stripe, and Clarion went 20 of 27 as a team compared to DuBois, which was 5 of 12.

                                      

Best, meanwhile, went 7 of 8 from the line in the fourth quarter and scored nine of her 13 points in the frame to help the Lady Cats come back from a one-point, 27-26, deficit entering the quarter. Ava Cherico, who added eight points, hit a key 3-pointer in the final eight minutes as well.

Clarion trailed 10-5 at the end of the first quarter before taking a 17-15 halftime lead thanks to Selfridge, who scored six points in the second quarter while going 4 of 5 from the line in the frame.

Selfridge then scored all nine of Clarion’s third-quarter points from the charity stripe going 9 of 10 in the quarter to keep the game close.

Olivia Johnson led DuBois with eight points with Saige Weible and Abby Guither each scoring seven.

PORT ALLEGANY 40, RIDGWAY 29

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Up just one going to the fourth quarter, visiting Port Allegany got 14 fourth-quarter points from Bree Garzel on its way to a 40-29 win over Ridgway.

Garzel hit two 3-pointers in the final eight minutes and went 6 of 6 from the free-throw line on her way to a game-high 26 points. She added four rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Evin Stauffer chipped in three points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals for the Lady Gators with Jade Evens scoring four points to go with three steals and two blocked shots.

Payton Delhunty paced Ridgway with 10 points with Julie Peterson and Jenna Kasmierski each scoring seven.

VENANGO CATHOLIC 41, SHEFFIELD 25

OIL CITY, Pa. – Lily Homan led a balanced Venango Catholic offensive attack with 12 points, as the Lady Vikings picked up their second straight victory with a 41-25 defeat of visiting Sheffield.

Kennedy Liederbach added seven points for VC which also got six apiece from Mariah Wessell, Allison Stewart and Molly Mietus and four from Sadie Kalamjka.

Annabel Sheldon led Sheffield with eight points.

CAMERON COUNTY 52, JOHNSONBURG 37

                                   

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Big games from Kaelee Bresslin and Hailey Hilfiger helped Cameron County to a 52-37 win over visiting Johnsonburg.

Bresslin exploded for a game-high 25 points while adding four assists, and Hilfiger had a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds while chipping in three steals and three blocks.

Kaci Stelene had a double-double for Johnsonburg with 11 points and 16 rebounds. Julie Jones added eight rebounds to go with four points and Annasophia Stauffer chipped in seven points.

UNION 60, FOREST AREA 27

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Dominika Logue scored a game-high 19 points, as Union topples visiting Forest Area, 60-27.

Keira Croyle added 11 points for the Golden Damsels, who also got nine points from Kennedy Vogle.

Amber Guzzi scored 12 points to lead Forest Area with Megan Clow adding seven.

MONITEAU 49, NORTH CLARION 37

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Rolling out to a 23-point halftime lead, Moniteau beat visiting North Clarion, 49-37.

The Lady Warriors led 16-0 at the end of the first quarter and 32-9 at the break.

Aslyn Pry had a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds while adding six assists and five steals to lead Moniteau.

Also for the Lady Warriors, Catherine Kelly scored eight points and hauled in nine rebounds, Abbey Jewart hit three 3-pointers on her way to nine points, Camryn Fallen chipped in eight points, Abby Rottman had seven points and nine rebounds, and Zoey Hillwig picked up four steals to go with a made free throw.

Amya Green scored all 15 of her points after halftime for North Clarion.

COUDERSPORT 44, NORTHERN POTTER 23

ULYSSES, Pa. – Sarah Chambers scored 16 of her game-high 25 points before halftime to lead Coudersport to a 44-23 road win over Northern Potter.

Courtney Martin netted 10 points to pace Northern Potter.

REDBANK VALLEY 56, BROCKWAY 39

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Caylen Rearick hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 21 points and Madison Foringer netted 20 points to lead visiting Redbank Valley to a 56-39 win over Brockway.

Danielle Wood scored a team-high 16 points and added six rebounds for Brockway with Selena Buttery chipping in 11 points and six boards.

KANE 48, SMETHPORT 26

KANE, Pa. – Rainee Wright hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points to help Kane to a 48-26 win over visiting Smethport.

Sarri Swanson added seven points and seven rebounds for the Lady Wolves who also got nine points and seven boards from Audri Marconi.

Coryn McClaine and Elizabeth Hungiville each scored nine points for Smethport with Sabrina Tanner grabbing seven rebounds to go with four points.

KEYSTONE 61, BROOKVILLE 40

KNOX, Pa. – Emily Lauer tied her career-high with 35 points, as Keystone rolled past visiting Brookville, 61-40.

Lauer also scored 35 in a PIAA first-round playoff win over Cambridge Springs last season and had 16 points in the third quarter alone Thursday night to reach the mark again.

Jozee Weaver chipped in 11 points in the win for the Lady Panthers.

Alaina Haight scored 15 points to lead Brookville.

ST. MARYS 51, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 26

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Behind a career-high 20 points from Kyla Johnson visiting St. Marys beat rival Elk County Catholic, 51-26.

Samantha Hayes added eight points in the win for the Lady Dutch with Jayssa Snelick adding seven.

Syd Alexander scored 14 of ECC’s 26 points.
