Fairview Tennis Beats Dallas in PIAA Class 2A Quarterfinals

HERSHEY, Pa. – The unbeaten Fairview boys’ tennis team advanced to the PIAA Class 2A semifinals with a 3-2 win over Dallas on Friday.

After Aravind Turaga and Nate Kisel dropped their No 1 and No. 2 singles matches, 6-2, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-1, respectively, the Tigers rallied.

Graham Louis earned a 1-6, 7-5, 6-4 win over Lucas Carver, followed by wins from the doubles teams of Jacob Mehler and Chris Spiergel (6-0, 6-1) over Luca DeRome and Jason Joshi at No. 1 and a 6-0 6-1 win by Glenn Louis and Jack lAlen over Jonathan Florencio and Mihir Kukul.

With the win, the Tigers advance to play Lancaster Catholic at noon on Saturday, with the winner to play Quaker Valley or Masterman for the championship at 6 p.m.
