ECC Boys Head Back to Clarion for State Semifinals

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Elk County Catholic boys basketball team will be headed back to Clarion University Friday for the state semifinals.

The PIAA announced Wednesday that the Class 1A semifinal matchup between the Crusaders and WPIAL champion Bishop Canevin will tipoff at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Clarion’s Tippin Gymnasium. Friday will be the third straight postseason game ECC plays at Clarion.

The Crusaders are coming off a thrilling 52-45 overtime win over Union (New Castle), the WPIAL runner-up, in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. ECC topped District 10 champion Farrell, 66-63, at Tippin in the second round.

Tickets for Friday’s semifinal will only be available online.
