District 9 Class 4A Champions to be Crowned on Tuesday; 2A Boys Semis, 1A Girls Semis/Consolation Also on Tap

WARREN, Pa. – Both boys and girls champion in District 9 Class 4A will be decided as Clearfield takes on Punxsutawney on the boys’ side and the St. Marys girls battle Clearfield, with the girls game getting the doubleheader from Clarion University’s Tippin Gym at 6 p.m.

The Class 2A boys’ semifinals are also on Tuesday, along with the Class 1A girls’ semifinals and consolation semifinals.

Here’s a look at each.

BOYS

                                      

CLASS 4A CHAMPIONSHIP

(1) Clearfield vs. (2) Punxsutawney at Clarion University, 7:30 p.m.

Records: Clearfield 13-9; Punxsutawney 10-12

Notable: The two teams met on Feb. 7, a 51-39 Clearfield win. Clearfield’s Cole Miller has scored in double figures in every game but one this season, including 46 against Williamsburg on Dec. 28.

CLASS 2A SEMIFINALS

(1) Redbank Valley vs. (5) Keystone at DuBois, 7 p.m.
