ERIE, Pa. – District 10 released its 2020 girls’ volleyball playoff brackets Thursday.
Brackets: Class 1A • Class 2A • Class 3A • Class 4A
Four District champions will be crowned Thursday, Nov. 5, one each in Class 1A, Class 2A, Class 3A, and Class 4A.
The Class 1A bracket, while out, is still not 100 percent complete as the winner of Thursday night’s match between West Middlesex and Commodore Perry at Commodore Perry will be crowned the Region 1 champion and will host Cochranton at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 in the semifinals while the loser of that match will travel to Saegertown for a 7 p.m. Nov. 3 semifinal match.
Class 2A is the largest bracket this season with five teams.
Sharpsville will travel to Wilmington for a 1 p.m. preliminary round matchup Saturday, Oct. 31 with the winner taking on Maplewood in the semifinal Nov. 3. The other semifinal match will feature Fairview traveling to Corry at 7 p.m. Nov. 3.
Both Class 3A semifinal contests will be played at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 with Villa Maria at Conneaut and Hickory at Fort LeBouef.
There are only two teams in the Class 4A bracket with McDowell hosting Erie High School at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 in the title match.
The other three title matches will also be played Nov. 5 at home sites still to be determined.
