SHARON, Pa. – District 10 made it official on Saturday afternoon, announcing they have moved next week’s Class 2A and 4A championship football games to Saturday, with times to be announced.
The moves were prompted after the 4A semifinal between Meadville at Harbor Creek was postponed to Monday because of two confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in the Crawford Central School District. The winner will play at Oil City, which beat Conneaut 56-0 in the other semifinal.
The Class 2A game will feature Farrell traveling to Wilmington. The Steelers beat Northwestern 30-10 on Saturday in a game that was moved back a day because of inclement weather.
The two teams met twice this season, with Wilmington winning both games, 41-20 on Sept. 18 and 21-20 on Oct. 10.
