A-C VALLEY 29, MEADVILLE 26

FARRELL, Pa. – Keira McVay scored nine points, handed out three assists, and came away with three steals to help A-C Valley give first-year head coach Mike Meals his first win with a 29-26 victory over Meadville in the consolation game of the Farrell Christmas Tournament.

Baylee Blauser added seven points, nine rebounds, and three assists for the Lady Falcons who also got seven points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots from Mackenzie Parks.

Sydney Burchard led Meadville with eight points with Marlaya McCoy adding seven points.

                                      

KARNS CITY 52, OIL CITY 36

OIL CITY, Pa. – Rossi McMillen and Emma Johns each scored 13 points to help Karns City overcome a slow start and get a 52-36 road win over Oil City.

The Lady Gremlins trailed 10-4 after the first quarter before outscoring Oil City 17-11 in the second quarter to forge a 21-all tie at halftime.

Johns then hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored eight of her points in the third quarter to help Karns City outscore the Oilers 21-6 in the quarter to take control of the game.

McMillen also scored six points in the third quarter and 11 of her 13 in the second half for the Lady Gremlins.

                          

Cameryn Booher chipped in 11 points in the win.

Maddy Marezak led Oil City with 15 points with Ashlee Shreckengost adding 11.

UNION 42, ROCKY GROVE 25

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Dominika Logue and Keira Croyle each scored 12 points to help Union to a 42-25 road victory over Rocky Grove.

Kennedy Vogle added nine points for the Golden Damsels.

Abby Williams paced Rocky Grove with 14 points.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 49, REYNOLDS 41

HADLEY, Pa. – Kendall Dunn had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Clarion-Limestone to a 49-41 win over Reynolds in the opening round of the Commodore Perry Holiday Tournament.

Frances Milliron chipped in 11 points for the Lady Lions with Lexi Coull scoring 10.

Halle Murcko paced Reynolds with 15 points, Chloe McLaughlin chipped in 12 points, and Kenzie Herman added 10.

                                   

KANE 53, YOUNGSVILLE 30

KANE, Pa. – Maya Smith and Cora Jekielek combined to score 26 points to lead Kane to a 53-30 win over Youngsville in the opening round of the Kane Christmas Tournament.

Smith led the Lady Wolves with 14 points with Jekielek adding 12.

Sadie Walter added seven points in the victory.

Mia Rafalksi paced Youngsville with 12 points with Kenzie Olewine adding eight.

Kane will face North Clarion in the championship game Wednesday, while Youngsville takes on Clarion.

NORTH CLARION 55, CLARION 23

KANE, Pa. – Claire Kriebel scored a career-high 17 points to help North Clarion to a 55-23 win over shorthanded Clarion in the opening round of the Kane Christmas Tournament.

For the senior,m Kriebel, who had never scored in double digits before Tuesday night, she netted double digits in the third quarter alone when she scored 10 for the She-Wolves.

Gwen Siegel added 13 points in the win with Madison McFarland adding seven.

Clarion, which was playing without District 9’s third-leading scorer Jordan Best (non-Covid reason), Taylor Alston scored eight points and Payton Simko added six.

The She-Wolves face host Kane in the title game Wednesday, while Clarion takes on Youngsville in the consolation contest.

FRANKLIN 51, CRANBERRY 28

SENECA, Pa. – Camdon Bashor scored 19 points to lead Franklin to a 51-28 over Cranberry in the opening round of the Cranberry Christmas Tournament.

Lauren Billingsley chipped in 12 points for the Knights with Jenn Blum chipping in seven points.

                                  

Ayanna Ferringer led Cranberry with nine points with Allie Rembold adding eight.

HARBOR CREEK 51, KEYSTONE 21

SENECA, Pa. – Brooke Przbylski scored a game-high 16 points to lead Harbor Creek to a 51-21 win over Keystone in the opening round of the Cranberry Christmas Tournament.

Georgia Weber and Elise Benim each added nine points for the Huskies.

Natalie Bowser scored 15 points to pace Keystone.
