Dec. 22, 2021 Wrestling: Reynolds Gets Milestone 900th Win With Comeback Over Commodore Perry

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The third time was the charm for Reynolds to pick up a milestone victory.

                        

The Raiders earned a comeback 40-30 win over Commodore Perry to capture the 900th win in program history.

The Raiders trailed 30-6 after a pin by Commodore Perry’s Wyatt Lazar at 138, but that’s when things changed, starting with a forfeit win for Reynolds to make it 30-12.

Kane Kettering got the ball rolling with a pin at 152, followed by a major decision by Cam Klenke at 160 that got the Raiders within 30-22.

Consecutive wins by decision from Jalen Wagner at 172 and Vito Gentile at 189 cut the deficit to 30-28, and a pin by Brayden McCloskey at 215 gave the Raiders the lead for good at 34-30.

                              

Mitchell Mason put the finishing touches on the milestone win with a pin at 285. Chase Bell also had a pin for the Raiders at 120.

Cole Geibel got the match going with a pin for Commodore Perry at 106. A Leyton Zacherl pin made it 12-0 and a forfeit at 126 made it 18-6 Panthers, with pins from Gage Gilmore at 132 and Lazar giving the Panthers the 30-6 advantage.

EISENHOWER 37, MAPLEWOOD 36

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – Eisenhower’s Cael Black picked up his 100th career win via forfeit as the Knights earned a 37-36 win over Maplewood.

Black received a forfeit win at 285 pounds, one of three forfeit wins on the night for Eisenhower.

                          

Cole Kellogg (138) and Gannon Jaquay (160) both won by pin for the Knights.

Chase Blake (126), Gregory Rose (172), and Logan Gross (189) all won by pin for the Tigers, who also received a pair of forfeit wins. The 120-pound match went uncontested.

MEADVILLE 57, WARREN 12

WARREN, Pa. – Meadville got five pins in a 57-12 win over Warren.

Brighton Anderson (145), Ty Tidball (172), Tyler Battles (189), Griffin Buzzell (215) and Rhoan Woodrow all got falls for the Bulldogs.

Caleb Anderson (126) and Mark Dait (138) won by tech fall for Meadville.

Christian Papalia got a pin for Warren at 113.

COCHRANTON 51, YOUNGSVILLE 19

COCHRANTON, Pa. – Cochranton got four pins and three forfeits in a 51-19 win over Youngsville.

Blake Foulk (132), Jack Martinec (138), Willis Morrell (152), and Louden Gledhill (189) all won by fall for the Cardinals, while Stephen Martinec won by decision at 145.

                           

Ian Mancuso got a major decision for Youngsville at 126, while Cody Jesperson (285) got a pin.

CATHEDRAL PREP 57, ERIE 12

ERIE, Pa. – Prep got nine pins in a 57-12 win over Erie.

Clay Mallory (172), Isaiah Harrick (189), Kelyn Blossey (215), Keagan Oler (113), Sam Staab (132), Jake VanDee (138), Steffan Lynch (145), and Kaemen Smith (152) all won by fall for the Ramblers, while Caden Pustalek (285) won via decision.

Erie received a pair of forfeit wins.

GENERAL MCLANE 37, MCDOWELL 22

ERIE, Pa. – General McLane won four of the final five matches in a 37-22 win over McDowell.

Magnus Lloyd (172, decision), Jessi Stempka (189, pin), Wilson Spires (285, pin) and Sam Cain (106, forfeit) helped the Lancers to victory. They also got victories from Teige Berger (113, major decision), Hudson Spires (138, pin), and Kyle Cousins (145, pin).

McDowell got victories from Logan Sallot (120, tech fall), Conner Dvorak (126, decision), Donovan Neavins (132, decision), Logan Carrick (152, decision), Caleb Butterfield (160, pin), and Troy Peterson (215, decision).

HICKORY 64, GROVE CITY 9

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Hickory got six pins in a 64-9 win over Grove City.

Yuri Figueroa (215), Kayden Cominsky (113), Louie Gill (120), Timmy Krivosh (126), Cody Miller (132) and Petros Neofotishos (145) all got pins for the Hornets, while Connor Saylor (138) won by major decision.

Hunter Hohman got a 2-1 win over Carter Gill at 160 for Grove City, while Nathan Stanton got a pin at 172.

NORTHWESTERN 54, HARBOR CREEK 17

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Northwestern got five pins and four forfeits in a 54-17 win over Harbor Creek.

Matthew Bendure (172), Ben Campbell (189), Greg Gruda (215), Kolton Sutter (132) and Gabe Lopez (138) all got pins for the Wildcats.

Connor Pierce got a tech fall for Harbor Creek at 145, while Ashton Stachewicz (152) and Sebastian Raucci (160) got pins.

SAEGERTOWN 51, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 15

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Saegertown received five forfeits in a 51-15 win over Cambridge Springs.

Hunter Robison (120, pin), Owen Hershelman (126, major decision), Landon Caldwell (189, tech fall), Porter Brooks (215, decision), and Joshua Perrine (285, decision) all won for the Panthers.

Brody Beck (132, decision) and Chase Beck (152, pin) got wins for Cambridge Springs.

SHARON 36, MERCER 19

SHARON, Pa. – Sharon received four forfeits in a 36-19 win over Mercer.

Camden Reiser (132, pin), Mohamed Kanan (152, decision) and Christian Hacker (160, decision) also got victories for the Tigers.

Carter Wise (120, decision) and Avante Hall (189, decision) got wins for Mercer.

REDBANK VALLEY 48, JOHNSONBURG 30

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Redbank Valley received eight forfeits in a 48-30 win over Johnsonburg.

Rayce Milliard (145), Collin Porter (152), Aidan Bittler (160), Kaden Dennis (172) and Cameron Larkin (189) all won by pin for Johnsonburg.
