ERIE, Pa. – No. 6 seed Oil City outscored third-seeded Harbor Creek 15-6 in the fourth quarter to pull off a 39-36 victory in the District 10 Class 4A quarterfinals on Thursday at the Hagerty Family Events Center.

The Oilers (15-8) went 8-of-10 from the free-throw line in the game and knocked down some crucial shots down the stretch to come away with the win.

Cam VanWormer led the way for the Oilers with 16 points, while Judias Johnson added 14. In the process, the Oilers avenged a pair of regular-season losses to the Huskies.

The game was tied 12-12 at halftime.

Harbor Creek (17-6), which led 30-24 at the end of the third quarter, got a good look at a potential game-tying three from Jaden Rocco at the buzzer, but it was off the mark.

Rocco led the Huskies with 14 points, and Nick Krahe added 11.

With the win, the Oilers advance to play No. 2 seed Grove City in the semifinals.
