TROY, N.Y. – After a pair of strong performances for the Skidmore College women’s basketball team, sophomore Sarah Chambers was recognized by the Liberty League on the Honor Roll for the week ending Jan. 29.
Chambers averaged 12.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steal as the Thoroughbreds picked up road wins over RIT and Union over the weekend. Chambers also found her deep touch, connecting on 3-of-4 3-point attempts.
On Saturday in Skidmore’s 61-52 win at Union, Chambers registered her first-career double-double when she scored 12 points and pulled down 12 rebounds including seven offensive boards.
Skidmore is in second place in the Liberty League with a 10-1 record. The Thoroughbreds will look to improve their stock this week on the road at William Smith on Tuesday before visiting Rensselaer and league-leading Ithaca over the weekend.
