WARREN, Pa. – Corry’s Makenna Moore and Port Allegany’s Isla Lehmier are the Week 3 2023 TapnPay+ District 10 and District 9 Volleyball Players of the Week.
Moore helped Corry to wins over two previously unbeaten teams, Clarion and Warren, during the week by leading the Beavers’ defense with 36 digs and also adding 12 aces. She had 18 digs and six aces in both wins.
Lehmier was instrumental in Port Allegany going 2-0 during the week including an impressive 3-1 win over defending District 9 Class 1A champion Oswayo Valley that ended the Green Waves’ 42-match regular-season win streak.
She had 28 set assists and two blocks in the victory over Oswayo Valley after recording 26 set assists in a 3-0 win over Northern Potter Monday.
