College Wrestling: Purdue Dominates Clarion Open; Clarion, Edinboro, Pitt Each With One Champion

Jared McGill of Edinboro won at 174 pounds at the Clarion Open Sunday

CLARION, Pa. – Purdue had four champions at the 2022 Clarion Open held at Tippin Gym Sunday, while Edinboro, Clarion, and Pitt each had one champion.

                        

Winning from Purdue was Matt Ramos at 125 pounds, Dustin Norris at 135 pounds, Parker Fillius at 141 pounds, and Kendall Coleman at 157 pounds.

Clarion’s winner was William Feldkamp at 184 pounds, Edinboro’s was Jared McGill at 174 pounds, and Pitt’s was Mac Stout at 197 pounds. Stout is the son of Clarion’s only four-time All-American Bryan Stout.

Additional winners included Meyer Shapiro (Spartan Combat RTC) at 149 pounds, Enrique Munguia (Kent State) at 165 pounds, and Grady Griess (Navy) at 285 pounds.

                              

Pitt had three runners-up as well in Colton Camacho (125 pounds), Tyler Badgett (149 pounds), and Reece Heller (184 pounds).

Clarion had two runners-up in John Worthing (174) and Tyler Bagoly (197).
